Chapter 7 - The Sun

' I need Ciracurus. ' Lucian thought.

Lucian does not enjoy being at tournaments without Violet unless he is there for a mission.

She better come or Lucian might as well run away.

Lucian, lost in his train of thought did not notice all the heads that had been turning. Their eyes following a bright crimson red cloak that was over the top of the head.

The fixated eyes followed the red cloak walk upto the seat next to Lucian and sit quietly.

A grey and a red cloak sitting side by side. That is a very interesting sight to see.

But, Lucian too lost in his thoughts failed to notice that.

His head hung low, he did not notice the murmurs, the gazes and the faint footsteps. Not even at the sound of the chair scraping against the floor.

Lucian did feel the presence of a foreign mana. But, it wasn't an overwhelming one. The kind of overwhelming that he was expecting the girl to have.

' I don't even wanna look at who is sitting beside me. ' Lucian thought.

' Well, if it's not her then I will just have to visit her home. ' Lucian thought. He specifically asked for a tournament in the Toscos District to allow for easy spying.

Her address was one of the very few things known about her. He could spy on her in her home if she didn't live in the resident building. But, hoping for the best Lucian decided to lift his head.

Upon lifting his head, he was met with a pair of golden yellow eyes staring intently into his.

' Yellow eyes. Small body. Intense gaze. Thats gotta be her. ' Lucian inspected. ' But... Why do I feel nothing about her mana ?! UGH never mind at least she is here. '

Something is better than nothing. If it is not mana then it might be physical strength. Whatever it is, Lucian will be able to figure it out.

" Hello " Lucian said with his usual bright smile. From what Lucian has heard about her, she is not one to initiate conversation, more or less look one in the eye.

Waiting for a response Lucian noticed her features.

Her eyes were said to be gold in colour, but it was almost as if her almond eyes encapsulated the sun itself. Bright, radiant and intense. Like they could burn him if he got a little too close.

People always say that eyes are the window to the soul. But, it was today that Lucian felt those words were true. Her eyes spoke volumes of her strength. She has such alluring eyes, that Lucian couldn't focus on anything else.

Her eyebrows were sharp like a sword. The wheat colour of her skin was a testimony of the time she spent training. Her face, carved out of jade. The bridge of her nose was smooth, she had never had anything hit her straight in the face. Her wavy brown hair barely reached the shoulders.

' There is no way she relies solely on her physical strength. ' Lucian was getting curious.

" Hello " She replied. Her low tone couldn't hide her honey-like voice.

Normally, Lucian would continue the conversation but he was indeed intimidated by her to say anything any further. He cannot have a casual conversation with her, so he will have to plan them.

' I should make a chronological observation. ' Lucian thought as he turned his mana mode off. He needs to observe her before he can plan anything further.

Physical build, mana, mana centres and then everything altogether. These are the 3 systems of the body that work together. The harmony of these systems decides the fate of any person.

Using his mana mode Lucian can observe the mana and the mana centers. But, he will observe her physical build first.

' A tiny frame. Well-rounded arm and shoulder muscles and... Are those burn marks ? ' Lucian noticed burn marks on her arm as if a hot wire had been wound on them. This is a very important observation.

Apart from that, there was nothing too noticeable about her physical appearance at the moment.

' Time to go mana mode. ' It seems that mana mode was going to be the answer to his questions because what he is seeing is a very interesting sight to look at.

It was clear that it was mana that was the source of her unknown powers.
