Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

"Ehem ehem"

"You're scaring us"

"Will you please stop that"

Drystan smiled more widely when he noticed just how annoyed Koa and Kenzo were. He couldn't help it though, he was happy and it was all because of his date yesterday with Galene. He couldn't help but smile more when he remembered it again.

"Malkiel, why are you just smiling there? Please stop him, he's scaring us"

"What do you want me to do? Don't you want to see him happy?"

Koa and Kenzo simultaneously looked at each other before saying.

"NO"

"Listen if he's that happy then that means he definitely wrote a dozen new songs, and if that's the case then we'll have to be stuck inside the club room for maybe a month"

Malkiel knew what their friends were talking about but he just couldn't see the big deal with it, especially not when Drystan was so happy.

"Well, I'm guessing it has something to do Galene?"

Drystan smiled widely and his ears turned red when he remembered how Galene blushed hard after his confession yesterday. There was an effect and he was so happy that Galene's feelings were definitely starting to change.

"Well I did write some songs last night"

This was the start of Koa and Kenzo's nightmare, they wanted to run away so badly so when they saw that Galene, Serenity, and Quincey were near the club room they saw the perfect opportunity.

"AHHH GALENE YOU'RE HERE"

Drystan and Malkiel turned around just in time to see the three enter the club room. Galene flinched when Koa and Kenzo ran up to her hiding behind her back before pointing fingers at Drystan.

"Help us, a demon has appeared, he'll torture us again"

Somehow Drystan didn't like the fact that Koa and Kenzo were clinging onto Galene but then he saw how Galene's face turned a shade of red.

What? He wanted to ask for it but his attention was caught by the marks on Galene's arms. It looked like claw marks, they were so long and red that it caught his attention immediately. He walked over to her and held her arm up lightly,

"What happened? Who did this?"

Everyone was equally surprised when they saw what Drystan was talking about. Galene avoided Drystan's gaze and it seemed like she didn't want to talk about it. But he was worried, Galene wasn't the type of person to get into a physical fight, if anything that's Quincey's personality. Galene was the type to get into an argument but never to the extent of a physical fight.

"Astraea what happened?"

Everyone's eyes went wide when they heard Drystan call Galene for the first time, but his strained authoritative tone of voice made them all shiver. There was a reason why Drystan was the club president as well as the leader of the Phoenix Harmony.

He has this certain authority over others that they couldn't explain either.

Galene was aware of this but she was afraid of telling anyone what really happened. She couldn't, she was scared that if anyone knew, she would fall apart all over again.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it"

But Drystan never softened his gaze, he knew that Galene was hiding something and he was worried that it was something bad if she could get hurt like this.

"Can't you tell us? or atleast just me?"

Galene looked at Drystan who was now letting out a sigh.

"Let's postpone the club activities for today. Quincey, I'll take Astraea with me"

"She's all yours"

Quincey even gave way to Drystan and Galene as he took their stuff and dragged Galene out of the club room.

"Hey you can't just postpone club activities like that, you guys have an upcoming gig"

"We'll figure it out"

Drystan replied shortly and somehow Galene didn't have the energy to just argue with him. She was drained if she was being frank, and Drystan being nosy and worrying like this didn't make her feel all better.

The fact that Galene wasn't asking where they were going made Drystan certain that something did happen. The two of them stopped in front of the clinic. Drystan knocked but when no one answered he opened the door which was unlocked.

"Sit down"

Galene reluctantly sat on one of the beds and watched Drystan as he took some disinfectant from the medicine cabinet. She stared at the wound she got from earlier. Honestly, she couldn't feel any pain from it anymore, as a matter of fact when it bled earlier she didn't bother and just washed it with water.

"You didn't even disinfect properly didn't you?"

Drystan pulled one of the chairs and sat in front of Galene. He took her arm and applied the disinfectant in it.

"Because the blood was washed away with water, I didn't bother"

Drystan stared dumbfounded at Galene, he saw that Galene was serious about what she had said. He let out a sigh.

"Honestly Astraea, take care of yourself will you"

"Is it that bad? I don't even feel the pain"

Drystan flinched when he noticed what she had said. The wound was bad, it didn't open her skin but it would still leave a scar if left untreated. And she was saying that she doesn't even feel atleast a sting from the disinfectant?

"Don't lie, you don't even feel a little sting?"

Galene shook her head and stared at Drystan, it was the truth. She didn't know when it started but one-day wounds like this weren't enough for her to feel some pain.

Drystan stared at her wound and remembered how she trembled back then when El was about to hit her. He didn't want to think badly but he couldn't erase the thought that this and that had a connection.

"Are you still not going to tell me how this happened?"

"It was nothing, I told you"

"You know you're a bad liar"

Galene smiled sadly, true enough she was. That's why she always wears her heart on her sleeve. She could never lie, hide something, yes she could definitely do that, but she could never lie to anyone.

"Can't you just let it go this time? I don't want to talk about it"

Drystan sat back and saw how Galene was trying hard to avoid his gaze. It's not like he could force her to tell him anything, if she didn't feel like talking then there was nothing he could do about it. He could never force Galene to do something she doesn't want.

He held Galene's hand tightly as he bandaged her wound.

"Alright, you can tell me when you feel like it, just promise me you won't get hurt like this again"

Galene didn't even have a second thought when she saw Drystan trying to kiss the back of her hand again. She quickly pulled away to Drystan's surprise. Her blushing face and widened eyes were enough to tell Drystan that something had changed.

"You're avoiding skinship now?"

"I…"

Galene stuttered as she moved to the other edge of the bed the moment Drystan stood in front of her. She was so afraid that Drystan would hear her heart beating loudly now. Yesterday when he kissed her hand and confessed to her, she felt her insides churn like butterflies were starting to flutter. And that wasn't even the worst part of it, she suddenly wished inside her head that Drystan was kissing her directly instead of just her hand.

That made her embarrassed beyond repair, and now everytime Drystan was going near her she could feel herself melting. She could remember the first time they kissed, the first time he hugged her while in his room and the times that he kissed her hand.

"Hey, you're being weird now, am I affecting you?"

"Wait!! Zael don't come closer"

But Drystan didn't listen to her, he continued to inch closer to her until her back was on the wall beside the bed. He placed both of his hands on Galene's side and stared at her rose-colored face.

He wanted to kiss her.

He wanted to badly kiss her but he knew that he must restrain himself. Galene still hadn't fallen for him completely, so he wouldn't.

"You really are beautiful Astraea"

Galene blushed harder. It wasn't even a unique compliment, she had heard it many times from different men already but why is it that when Drystan had said it, it felt like she would melt.

"I…"

"yes?"

Drystan smiled sweetly at her, he was enjoying this. It may look like he's teasing Galene but he wanted to stay this close to her. If he could only take her wherever he wanted, he would do it.

"I ALREADY KNOW THAT, IDIOT!"

Drystan's eyes widened when Galene shouted but he then laughed loudly when he saw how Galene covered her face with the pillow. He found her cute, he knew that she was trying hard to hide her embarrassment and he just enjoyed it.

Galene took a peek from the pillow to see Drystan still laughing. She blushed hard when she realized how handsome he was while laughing. Was this the first time she acknowledged that he was handsome? She knew that it was already the case. The girls in this school wouldn't fawn over him if he wasn't. But why was it that she only now realized?

"Honestly you"

Galene flinched when Drystan inched closer to her again, pulling the pillow just enough for him to see her eyes. Drystan smiled as he stared at Galene's brown eyes.

"That's right you are beautiful, so how lucky would I be if you were mine?"
