The Gnolls did not get the chance to react as what welcomed them in the darkness was waves of darkness coming towards them. The leading one took five hits and died instantly meanwhile the Luke did not stop with the 'slow notes' he kept firing. Since the skill released the wave in a horizontal line which targeted the enemy which was directly standing steps ahead right in front of Luke. The first one was dispatched instantly as the number of the notes depended on how many times Luke stroke a note in his lyre.
The one right behind the first gnoll instantly became the next target and with five hits he was dead as well. The last one who have seen how his brothers have fallen learned how the skill worked and he lied on floor. Two notes passed above him as the Luke stopped hitting the notes.
