Several golden beams penetrate the thick cloud above the Doldrio Plane, the lowest part of the second sky realm. The beams fall, illuminating that vast wasteland full with thousands dead Nephilims scattered on the ground.
The plane, which should be a dry place, has become so wet by blood, with Nephilim's severed heads, limbs, and black wings, all over the place. It's the aftermath of a long and exhausting great war.
Well, it would be more merit to call it a raid rather than a war. Yes, it is a raid, since this huge massacre was done by only one heavenly knight, Livne Atniel, also known as The Skywrath Comforter.
"So! Aren't you going to say sorry?"
The knight with his two wings closed on his back, sits above the only remaining Nephilim's chest. His size is only a quarter of the size of the Nephilim he has just defeated, making him look like a toddler playing on his father's chest.
But believe me. Despite his size, this one knight is going to wipe out the entire race of Nephilim after killing this last one. But it seems like he doesn't have any intention to set such a historical record.
"Say sorry, you damn creature!"
He punches that Nephilim's face with his small hand. But that small hand is effective at destroying the giant's face. Three of the giant's teeth are even blown out of that giant mouth after receiving that powerful hit.
The giant slowly turns his face toward him, showing his agony mixed with rage. He spits out his saliva mixed with blood. It's just spitting, but it makes Atniel drenched in a blood bath.
"Lick my bottom horn first, you heavenly whore!"
Atniel knows that said bottom horn is considered as the most despicable thing among the Nephilim. And the Nephilim themselves are the lowest race in the sky realm.
In fact, he has been very kind enough to prevent the extermination of the Nephilim race by sparing this one giant's life. But here he is, getting insulted for the mercy he shows.
He pulls his right hand back, channeling his remaining power into his right knuckle. The knuckle starts emitting blinding light. It even starts creating a crack in the air around it.
"No, Atniel! Don't use that attack here!"
The knight is not alone. There's Midbar Elisha, a beautiful angel who is assigned as his companion, rushing toward Atniel with an awry face.
But Atniel, the so-called Skywrath Comforter, is already at the peak of his wrath. He no longer has any mercy, and hits that giant's face with his strongest attack, The Sky Cracking Punch.
It obliterates the giant's head, also creating a huge crater on the ground. The impact doesn't just end with that. It also creates some cracks on Doldrio Plane, which is the barrier between the Second Sky Realm and the universe below.
"Have you gone nuts? You are going to disturb the entire ecosystem of the universe under us," utters the angel Elisha reprimanding him.
"Well, they are going to have peace for thousands of years after I killed that last Nephilim," replies Atniel with an unenthusiastic face as he walks away from that giant body.
That angel looks around, finding several beams of light coming out of the ground which has been cracked by Atniel's last attack. Fortunately, those cracks are slowly closing, and it makes that beautiful angel a bit relieved.
But without them knowing, there is still one Nephilim alive, who has been pretending to be dead amidst the abundance of corpses of his kin. It rises, and then crawls toward the nearest cracking ground.
"No! Don't tell me…" mumbles Elisha with an awry face.
Atniel rushes toward that one Nephilim, but later he finds the giant is just dropped on the ground, and no longer moving anymore. He turns that giant, and realizes that the body has become an empty vessel without any soul inside it.
"What's going on?" he mumbles with a blank face.
"He must have left that body, and descended to the lower realm through the little space you've created on the plane," explains Elisha.
Atniel gets up, still with his confused face as he observes all the cracks on the ground closing. But then again, he begins to realize that the last Nephilim that he fought could just deliberately provoke him to create the crack on the ground.
He looks around, and feels that this battle had been planned for this one, to let one of them descend to the lowest realm.
"But, why would he go down there?" he mumbles.
All the creatures who reside in the sky realm are all prideful creatures. And the Nephilim are the most arrogant race amongst them.
He can't understand why that one Nephilim wanted to go to the lowest realm. He thought that they would rather choose to be killed by his sword due to their pride and arrogance.
"I didn't know they can be this desperate."
Atniel turns to Elisha, and finds that one angel is having a conversation while holding the earring on her left ear. He knows that Elisha is currently talking with her superior, so he simply waits for it by leaning on his sword.
As soon as that conversation ends, Elisha approaches Atniel to relay the message she just received.
"It's a decree from the Angel in Chief from the Third Sky Realm. He noticed what you did before, and learned that one Nephilim is heading to the Ardh #73 in the lowest realm. You are ordered to go down there and hunt that last Nephilim."
Atniel puts on his unenthusiastic face. Even going down to this second sky realm is already so troublesome for him. Now he has to go down to the lowest one.
"Come on!" Elisha tries to cheer him up. "How long you haven't visited the lowest realm? 100 thousand years? 500 thousand years?"
"I had tried my best doing so many good deeds, to be worthy enough living amongst the angels here in the sky realm. I hate to be down there. You have no idea what it feels."
"Look! That Ardh #72 is a place of total ignorance. It's full of atheists."
"More reason for me to not go there," Atniel whines.
"You know what? For this one, you will receive God's Blessing for every soul you lead back to God's path. Do you know what that means? As you hunt that last Nephilim, you will also get a chance to raise your status here in the sky realm. Isn't that good?"
