Chapter 120: Hashirama Died

A few months had passed, and now it was time for Setsuna to claim his reward.
"Congratulations, host. Your child has successfully been born," the system announced.
Just an hour ago, Haruko had given birth to two daughters and two sons. Once again, the fact that they were twins left the medical ninjas in awe.
Twins or triplets were rare, but Setsuna's family seemed to always have either twins or triplets with each birth.
He named his sons Uchiha Nagato and Uchiha Zabuza, while his daughters were named Uchiha Rukia and Uchiha Mikoto.
Setsuna decided not to get creative with naming his children anymore, so he simply picked names from great characters, like Uchiha Rukia and Uchiha Mikoto.
Well, you couldn't blame him. Since he had chosen to have children every two years, he didn't want to go through the headache of picking new names each time.
"System, you told me before that I could give rewards to my children?" asked Setsuna.
"Correct," replied the system.
"So how do I give the reward to them?" he asked.
"In order to give a reward, you need to hold the draw first. Afterward, you can select which one to give to your child," explained the system.
"Alright, go ahead and draw," ordered Setsuna.
"Congratulations! Your rewards are as follows: 1st reward: Sode no Shirayuki's power 2nd reward: Namikaze Minato template (No Half-Kyuubi) 3rd reward: Love Parameter 4th reward: Saving Space"
Looking at the rewards, Setsuna wanted all of them. He understood why the system didn't give him extra rewards with Kyuubi—likely because of his Perfect Jinchūriki card.
"System, did I receive the sword with the first reward?" asked Setsuna.
"No, you only received the ability to change the temperature, like Kuchiki Rukia," replied the system.
Remembering how overpowered Rukia's abilities were, Setsuna decided to grant that power to one of his children.
"Give the 2nd reward to my son Uchiha Hizashi, and the 1st reward to Uchiha Karina," ordered Setsuna.
"The gifts have been installed in your children. For Uchiha Hizashi, he will receive 10% of the Namikaze Minato template each year, and his personality will also evolve to resemble Minato's," said the system.
"What? Why will he become like Minato?" asked Setsuna.
"It's due to the hormonal changes. He'll begin to think and act like Minato," the system explained.
"Why can't you give him the full 100% template right away?" Setsuna questioned.
"Because Hizashi is still very young. It's safer to provide 10% each year so that his body isn't overwhelmed by the template's power," replied the system.
"Wait a minute, the 4th reward... is it a reset checkpoint? I remember playing games with a feature to save the game, then I could start from that checkpoint," asked Setsuna.
"The 4th reward allows you to save those who are near death and keep them safe," the system explained.
"Wait, does that mean I could save someone like Tobirama when he was about to die?" asked Setsuna.
"Correct, host. Currently, the space can hold only three people," replied the system.
"If I save them, will their illnesses be cured? What about their age?" Setsuna asked further.
"Yes, you can modify them within the save space. You can even send their chakra to observe others who are outside of space," answered the system.
"Interesting," muttered Setsuna, pinching his chin thoughtfully.
---Hashirama Sick---
Due to rumors about the Hokage being sick, small skirmishes started to appear along the border.
Naturally, the other villages wanted to verify whether the Hokage was truly ill or if it was just an act by Konoha. If Hashirama wasn't sick, he would personally come to the border to stop the skirmishes. However, if he was indeed sick, he would only send a team to handle the situation. Eventually, Konoha sent a team to fend off the skirmishes along the border.
The Kages from other villages began recalling their shinobi back to their villages. They had confirmed the rumors that Hashirama was truly sick, and they knew a war might break out once he died. Now was the time to strengthen their forces.
At the Senju Clan residence where the Hokage was staying.
"Brother, look! It was a huge mistake to give the tailed beasts to others," said Tobirama.
"Tobirama, I might have been wrong, but let's trust them for a while. These small skirmishes haven't escalated," replied Hashirama.
Suddenly, the door opened, and an Anbu entered to inform the Hokage.
"Hokage-sama, Setsuna has come to request permission to enter the village and meet with you. He is currently with the Uzukage," informed the Anbu.
"Let him in. I have something to tell him," said Hashirama.
Five minutes later, Setsuna arrived with the Uzukage to meet him, bringing fruit as a gift for the ailing Hokage.
"Hokage, long time no see," greeted Setsuna.
"Setsuna, I'm glad you came," smiled Hashirama. "Father-in-law, stay here for a while. My wife wants you by her side."
"Hashirama, how is your health? We heard you're sick," asked Uzumaki Ashina.
"Yeah, I'm dying," said Hashirama. "My chakra has become toxic, and it's slowly killing my cells."
"Brother," muttered Tobirama.
"Setsuna, I have a favor to ask," said Hashirama.
"What is it, Hokage?" asked Setsuna.
"I want you to become the next Hokage," Hashirama requested.
Suddenly, everything went silent. Had they heard him correctly?
"BROTHERRR!" Tobirama almost shouted.
"Sorry, Hokage, but I'm a resident of Uzushiogakure," replied Setsuna.
Hashirama chuckled. "Can you promise me something?"
"What is it?" asked Setsuna.
"If the tailed beasts are used by other villages to attack Konoha, can you take control of them?" pleaded Hashirama.
"I'll take their tailed beasts if they happen to attack Uzushiogakure, but I won't interfere if they attack Konoha," said Setsuna.
"Hahaha, even though I'm saddened, at least Uzushiogakure is protected under you," replied Hashirama.
After some small talk, Uzukage and Setsuna stayed for two days in Konoha. Suddenly, an Anbu informed them about Hashirama again.
"Uzukage sama, Setsuna-sama, the Hokage is on his deathbed," said the Anbu.
We rushed to the Senju residence to visit Hashirama, but by the time we arrived, we received the news that Hashirama had passed away.
Upon hearing this, Setsuna smiled as a notification from his 4th reward appeared.
"Ding! The user Hashirama has been saved inside the space."
Author's Notes – Setsuna transmigrated into this world before he got the chance to read the part in the manga where Sasuke seeking cure with Sakura's help to save Naruto.
As I've mentioned before, I'm making some changes to the canon timeline. Hashirama is still alive, but only his Asura Chakra has been released, allowing others to inherit it.
