Chapter 90: Rewards
"Father, did I look like this when I was a baby?" asked Karina, gazing at her siblings.
"Yeah, but you're still a baby right now," replied Setsuna, gently pinching her cheeks.
"I'm not a baby! I'm a big girl!" huffed Karina, grabbing her father's wrist.
"Yeah, yeah, you're a big girl," Setsuna smiled.
Karina giggled at his response.
"Father, why doesn't little brother have any teeth?" she asked curiously.
"Because he's still a baby. You'll need to wait a few months before his teeth grow," explained Setsuna.
The joy of having children is something only parents can truly understand. To others, children might seem annoying, but to parents, they are a source of emotional warmth. At times, parenting can be frustrating, but as the children grow, the satisfaction of raising them brings a deep sense of fulfillment.
It's a complex but deeply human emotion. No matter how rebellious or difficult a person may have been in their youth, many still long for a happy family. It provides warmth, comfort, and a place to relax.
Black Zetsu...
He had been waiting for a long time to help his mother escape from the seal—100 years, 200 years, 300 years. He didn't know anymore because he had lost count. The only thing he never lost was his determination to free his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Hagoromo and Hamura were unfilial children who dared to seal their own mother, but Black Zetsu saw himself as the most loyal and devoted child.
Since the time of Indra and Ashura, he had been scheming, playing a major role in why the world had fallen into chaos. He truly believed that Madara would awaken the legendary Rinnegan.
Madara returning with Izuna had been an unexpected twist, but even then, Black Zetsu didn't give up. He knew the key to making Madara truly furious was the death of a family member.
However, Izuna was too strong. He had awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, something their predecessors had failed to achieve. When Izuna eventually married a civilian, Black Zetsu shifted his target from Izuna himself to Izuna's loved ones.
He began plotting with the Daimyo. Instead of directly targeting Madara, it was better to go after Izuna's lover. Many ninja showed interest in taking on the task for the rewards.
But assassinating Kamado Nezuko, even as a civilian, wasn't easy. She was protected by the Uchiha Clan, living in the heart of the Uchiha residence. Attempting to infiltrate Konoha unnoticed was nearly impossible, and they had been waiting for the village to open up for delegations.
Izuna's happy family might not last long, as someone had targeted his loved ones without his knowledge.
System feel panic...
It had been almost three months, and the rewards that system could hold onto couldn't exceed this 3 months period. However, Setsuna still refused to claim them from the system. The system, with no other options left, decided to trick Setsuna again.
"Congratulations, host, your bug has been fixed," said the system.
"Bug fixed? Does that mean I can now redeem the rewards?" asked Setsuna for confirmation.
"Correct, host," replied the system.
"How was the bug fixed?" asked Setsuna.
"It was resolved with a software patch, and it took almost three months," lied the system.
Hearing this, Setsuna suspected something was going on behind his back. The keyword was three months.
He smiled and then said to the system, "Okay, then I'll redeem the rewards."
"You can redeem six rewards," said the system.
"1st: Starlink 2024 version satellite."
"2nd: Artificial intelligence to manage the satellite internet connection with a supercomputer."
"3rd: Starlink Kit Signal 2024."
"4th: Devil Fruit Uo Uo No Mi."
"Host, do you want to draw the rewards or multiply them?"
"Do you still want to draw the rewards or multiply them?" the system asked again.
"If I multiply them, how much would I get?" asked Setsuna.
"Since this is the first time, you can multiply up to 10,000 times," the system replied.
"Okay, multiply the Starlink satellites," said the system.
"Multiplication complete. Congratulations, host. Do you want to redeem them here or in outer space?" asked the system.
"Do I need to fly to outer space?" asked Setsuna.
"No need. For Starlink, it's a bit special—you can redeem it anywhere, even in outer space," answered the system.
"Alright, then place them in outer space. You know about Starlink, right? Please arrange them based on orbit, just like the Starlink company on Earth does," ordered Setsuna.
"10,000 satellites have been successfully redeemed. Please redeem the AI to control all the satellites," said the system.
"Redeem the AI supercomputer," Setsuna requested.
"Should I place it next to the Jarvis laboratory?" asked the system.
"Yes, please," Setsuna smiled.
"Complete. Host, you can now go to the lab to use the supercomputer."
"Okay, now multiply the Starlink Starter Kits," ordered Setsuna.
"Complete. 5,000 Starlink Starter Kits are ready," replied the system.
"What? Why only 5,000?" asked Setsuna, confused.
"That's the regular price. Before, you were getting a discounted rate," explained the system.
