Conri's information made me angry and I could feel the way my beast roared at the defiance committed by the members of Serpent shifters. I spent hours in Governor Alexander Mansion library just mulling over everything. I knew it was not the right way but I needed some peace of my own. Hours later, I called Haida to inform her we were working late and sat down on the couch and tried to catch sleep. I knew that the minute I stepped foot in the villa, she would sense my fury.
