The Tizheruk had already left the next day by the time we woke up to prepare for the office. I dropped Conri off at the office and then headed to the Due Corporation. It was close to noon when I got a phone call from the City council about the documents I had filled out during our wedding on the properties we would co-share with Conri.
I left the office after briefing Zeeb and Anisha and rushed to the City council offices. On arrival, I found that the officer in charge had stepped out and I opted to wait for him while I caught up with emails from my phone. The scent of a strong perfume hit my nostrils and then I heard Ducian Due's voice reach before I lifted my head.
"CEO Lucian," she smiled creepily.
I raised one eyebrow in response and went back to read my emails.
"I am afraid Mr. Peterson has left for the day. I would urge you to come back another day," she stated.
