CONRI'S POV
I regretted picking up the call when Lil Pup called me and stirred up my emotions. I tossed and turned in bed hours later as Dolf huffed in frustration.
"Why do you keep pushing him away?" Dolf complained. I did not have an answer except for fear. I was afraid that he would get too close to me and he would see how hurt and vulnerable I was. I willed my body to sleep, but an hour later, I gave up and went for a run. The chilly mountain air hit Dolf's nostrils as the snow on the ground picked up. After running for hours, we made our way back by the river bank and Tizheruk must have sensed our presence as it got out of the water.
"It seems you lack sleep and plan to disturb everyone on the mountain," it spoke. Dolf snarled at it, and I shifted back into my human form.
"Who is everyone on the mountain? I have news for you. I will leave the mountain soon, "I stated in a huff.
"About time." The Tizheruk snickered.
