Celestiel ended up waking up alone, in a strange room. She sat up, quickly, only relaxing when she noticed the King at a corner of the room, sitting in thought by the window.
She mentally face palmed herself. Wasn't the King the one she wanted to rest? How had she ended up being the one to fall asleep?
She moved to leave the bed and her movements alerted the King who turned his head to look at her.
"You are awake," he said and she smiled, embarrassed that she had been the one to fall asleep.
"Did you rest well?," she asked.
Sebastian hummed, looking back through the window. It was almost the time of sunset and the orange-red warmth of the light shining on the King's relaxed form caused him to look beautiful, almost surreal.
He lifted a wooden tankard to his lips and only then did the princess realise he was drinking.
