Sebastian stood silently, surprise clear in his countenance.
Had the princess not heard him?
He walked towards the bed they shared quietly, undressing as he walked.
"Tomorrow, we will enter the capital," he paused, glancing at the princess. But she didn't even glance at him.
Celestiel remained still, staring at the moon solemnly.
"Princess," Sebastian called out to her and finally, she turned to look at him. Her golden eyes were expressive as she stared. They were only things with emotion on her face.
"Yes, my lord?," she asked.
She had used the title countless times before, but somehow it felt more foreign on her lips now more than ever before.
"You will probably be meeting the Queen mother tomorrow," he informed her quietly.
"Yes, my lord," she replied, turning away from him again.
Her replies were monotone and Sebastian immediately knew that there certainly was an issue.
