Most times, people regret their mistakes after they were already made. And Celestiel was most definitely regretting her choices now.
As she trudged on through the thick forest, all that went through her mind were reasonable thoughts, ones that would have been very helpful before she stepped into the forest.
What if her mother was back at the dungeon cell? What if she was out here for nothing? What if she got lost and couldn't find her way back?
An eery wolf howl sounded in the distance, cutting off her train of thought. She noticed it was a full moon up ahead.
There were wolves in this forest? It sounded very close. Was she going to die here? Would they even find her body? Who was she kidding? They wouldn't even try looking for her, she would probably be doing then a favour by getting herself killed.
The thought saddened her.
