Not just the King was in the study. He was accompanied by his mother, the Queen mother.
Two pairs of hauntingly, beautiful, black eyes moved to look at her as she helped herself into the room.
"Celestiel, you are here!," a wide grin spread on the Queen mother's lips and her eyes lit up. "What a wonderful surprise!"
She glanced at Sebastian, who kept his eyes on Celestiel as though still surprised that she was here. "You told me she couldn't visit for now."
"She couldn't," Sebastian replied, his eyes narrowing down at the princess.
"Oh well," the Queen mother shrugged. "She is here now, that is what matters."
She then turned to Celestiel and said, "Celestiel dear, would you like some tea?"
Celestiel nodded gratefully, "That would be delightful, mother. Thank you."
