Celestiel remained in her room for the next couple of days and only Aletta was allowed to tend to her.
When she had found out the princess had been missing for the last couple of weeks, she had been overcome with guilt and sadness, especially after seeing and tending to the princess' wounds.
She had been with Reagan, trying to trace the scent of the urchin poison, the silver dust and eventually, she had.
She had to admit that the small adventure had her reeling with excitement and adrenaline. It was a feeling she had missed and hadn't felt in years.
However, she still wished she had stayed back with Celestiel. Because if she had, she wouldn't have gotten the chance to be hurt.
And for that reason, she blamed herself.
The princess had insisted it was not her fault and she really was in no pain. But Aletta knew better. She noticed the princess wince every time she raised her hand to eat, or whenever she stood to walk to the bath.
