Raphael woke up in a house he didn't recognize, everything was a blur. He couldn't remember who he was, who his family was, 'did I die?' he thought. He looked at his arm and saw a bite mark, heh, he wasn't surprised surprised. He walked to the door and opened it, there were zombies everywhere, 'but if I was bitten, does that make me one of them? Am I dead? How am I able to think? Why isn't my flesh decaying? I don't know, I don't know, I don't know... I wish I did though. But I also wish that I'll never get to know.' He stepped out of the house and started walking on the dirt road.

The zombies didn't attack him or even pay attention to him, he looked around and saw a store, the store was empty. It was probably abandoned or maybe the owners were dead. That's when he saw the, the people, they had a kid, a little girl, a sight upon seeing Raphael her made scream and cry, her father aimed his gun at Raphael and shot him in the shoulder. Of course he didn't anything, he shot him in his chest, then his leg, then finally his head. But why wasn't he like other zombies, one bullet in the head and they're dead, but he didn't die. 'Why didn't I die?'

The girls father ran out of bullets and they ran, he just stood there watching them run, the backs getting further, just them a zombie came rushing at them. They screamed, the zombie tried to bite the mother but the father protected his wife and child, suddenly he had this rush that just came over him, he wanted it to stop, he didn't want to see them die. 'Stop it.'

'stop it...'

"stop...it..."

"STOP IT!"

It all went quiet, no screams, no growling from mindless corpses, the zombie stopped what it was doing and limped away. The family ran for their lives, Raphael had all zombies staring at him, they all watched him as he made his way to the end of the town. He walked in the forest and encountered a few animals that had been mutated as well.

Year 2012

Aged 19

Then he encountered a lady, she was on her own. Raphael had grown to hate people because they would rush at him or try to run away but they always ended up dying at the hands of the other zombies. The lady he encountered had a gun and a knife, and she was pregnant, she shot him three times but she was so terrified with the bullets melted out his head and landed on the floor, the bullet wounds healing themselves.

She screamed. Raphael put his hand on her mouth as if shushing her. "I'll spare you lady, just know the zombies won't hurt but you must never set foot in this forest again. And no slander."

He removed his hand from the lady's mouth and she said in a trembling voice, "Wh...what the fuck are you?" tears were streaming down her face. Raphael didn't want to hear it, "Don't ask th-"

"Leave me alone you disgusting creature!"

Raphael stood up straight and stared down at her, "I was starting to think that I could let you live, what a shame."

"Why won't you just fucking die!" She screamed at him, "I can't die...because I'm already dead."

The woman clutched her stomach, the baby was coming. He watch as she screamed in pain and the baby came out, she was begging and pleading for him not to kill her or her child. "You're so stupid. What day and age do you think you're in for you to be fucking around? Look around, look at the environment you live in, open your eyes. Tell me something, where's the father of your child? He's dead isn't he?"

All she did was nod as her tears came down like mad.

"How old are you?" He asked as he took the baby away from her, she was crying, she didn't what he was going to do with her child. "I'm not going to eat her. How old are you and what's your name?"

She was hesitant at first but answered, "My name is Maya, I'm...16."

"You're not fit to take care of this child, you're not even fit enough to take care of yourself. You're too young to-"

Bang!

She shot herself before he could finish his sentence. 'You were weak Maya, you even think about what was best for your child and you already gave up, heh, what a world'.

Raphael took the knife the girl had in her and cut the umbilical cord and wrapped the baby in Maya's torn jersey. He buried her where she died and took the baby to a city that had walls surrounding it to keep, well you know who, out. People were afraid of Raphael because he had bright red eyes and not to mention he could walk through a horde of zombie and not attract their attention at all. But overall, he was tall, 'bout 6 feet, he had smooth tan skin and he had white hair.

He knocked on the gate and some security guards came out and saw a tall handsome figure holding what seemed to be a baby.
