Synopsis
Miracles are really lovely concepts that people love to hold onto and try to grasp in their hands when it seems things are hopeless, or like children making wishes for crazy things at the wishing well with a nickel. Although Viviana was from a rich home and envied by others as a child, her life took a downturn when she fell sick as a teenager and her days became dark. From then on She had always longed for a miracle and when she thought it was almost over, it came at last. It wasn't just any kind of miracle, it gave her a chance to live her life the way she imagined it...........or so she thought. This is a story of how a simple miracle changed Viviana's life, uncovering many miseries around her and like every normal girl, how she found love at last. "If we have met at another time under different circumstances nothing on Earth or in the skies would ever make me let you go. Promise me you would beat this thing" --- Kyle Xavier "Even if they all say we are wrong and it will burn, that we are just young and foolish then let it burn but we enjoy it while it lasts what's wrong about being young and foolish. Everyone was once young and foolish weren't they" --- Ark Walter "The moon is beautiful isn't it but we can't deny the stars are prettier" --- Luis Cruz. Let's join Viviana on a journey of self discovery as she discovers the truth about her birth after she was given a miracle of second chance.

Chapter 1 - One step

Just like every normal night in Port Marino, it was cold as Port Marino was a coaster city with numerous ports. It was named after the Marino family, as they were one of the important figures who built the foundation of the city. Port Marino is a city that never sleeps, always busy and bubbling full of life despite the cold weather, but away from all the charms of the city, on a lonely bridge stood a girl around fifteen years old on the edge of the bridge contemplating, if she should take a step forward and fall to her death to end it all or a step backwards and hope for a miracle.

Viviana was a lively girl like her name, but the past few years had been tough, and she felt like all her life had been drained from her, leaving her dull and empty...She stood silently on the rough cliff bridge that connected the mainland to her family's private island. It was quiet, as the bridge was only used by them. She stood there waiting for what she wasn't sure of. Likewise, she looked down at the fast-rushing river below the bridge where she stood, with countless sharp stones. What a perfect spot to die, she thought to herself, knowing fully well that if she jumped her chances of survival were very low as she was weak. She was even amazed at the fact she was able to walk from the manor here, maybe it was her body pushing her to make this last decision.

When she left her room that night she was so lost in thoughts she didn't realize how far she could move in this cold without any relapse due to her medical condition, but at last, with her last will, she made it to this point. Viviana was lost in thoughts, wondering if she should back down as her decision would hurt her father and elder brother, the only family she had. Before leaving the manor, she left a suicidal note in her room, hoping perhaps it would find its way to her family's notice. She hopes they will forgive and understand her decision, as she can't take the pain anymore, nor can she endure seeing her family suffer. Oh! All the happy and sad days they had, memories she would cherish even as she went to her grave.

She steels her resolve, as she believes this is the best choice for everyone. Viviana takes a step forward, loses her hand from the handrail and falls to her death into the river which has a very fast current. She tries to make one last struggle as she is still scared of death, but at last, it is hopeless as she is too weak. The water made her collide with numerous rocks until she lost consciousness and sank.

** Few years ago**

Viviana and her brother Matteo, whom she prefers to call Theo, were dropped off by the driver at school.

Theo was quite popular in school as he was smart and social, combined with the fact he was a Marino, the richest family in town. Viviana, on the other hand, was a quiet girl who always kept to herself, she was also smart like her brother but wasn't social, and because of that people considered her a snub, but she wasn't concerned with public opinion.

After being dropped at school, she and Theo went their separate ways as they were in different class grades. Viviana was leisurely walking to class until all of a sudden, heard someone call her name, only to find out it was her long childhood friend and best friend Julian, who was of Greek ancestry, unlike her Italian or rather Roman ancestry, although he always loves arguing he is of Spartan ancestry Instead Julian was good-looking even from when he was a child not to talk about how he is in early teens. Matteo always teased her that she had a crush on him considering how good-looking he was, but she always denied it because, of course, she couldn't possibly have feelings for Julian as she had known him technically her entire life since pre-school and considered him to be her brother.

"Vivi wait up !" He shouted again, annoying Viviana, who always gets irked when Julian yells her name. " Must you yell from a block away you almost busted my eardrums" Viviana joked, exaggerating some facts at Julian, but he was not affected by her scolding as he had grown used to her habit of complaining a lot, no wonder people call her a snub.

" So how was your Christmas holiday, I travelled to Europe with my family" Viviana always loved listening to Julian's narration of his adventures when he went on a trip. Julian had a very nice soothing baritone voice, definitely killer if he was singing. "Yeah I know you told me remember" Viviana replied

"Vivi I know, but do you always have to kill the fun? I was just starting the story and wanted to give more details and also tell about all the interesting people I met in Paris for the record their Waiters are rude" Julian grunted.

Vivi chuckled "Do you know people would think you are gay because of how much you talk" That statement didn't go well with Julian as he now had a nasty look on his face which made Vivi laugh.

Julian just dismissed her and continued his story, "So Paris it was…" He kept on going, not paying much attention to Viviana who started finding it difficult to listen to Julian's chatty voice.

Viviana felt her whole world spinning as she was finding it difficult to breathe all of a sudden and everyone's voice seemed to dim to the background, she tried grabbing hold of Julian until it all went black and she fainted.

Julian finally observed something was out of place as he realized that Viviana was trying to gain her balance and suddenly fell, he tried to catch her before she landed on the ground. Julian started screaming his lungs out for help as he was confused as to why his friend suddenly lost consciousness.
