Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 – Commission and Hunting

All of the soldiers had passed out on lap 17 except for Lena who advanced to round 19. Now she had only one lap left, but her face showed that he had no strength left. Her legs were shaking and her face was starting to turn purple. Fearing she would hurt herself; I went to her and stopped her.

-     You don't have to try as hard. You're already at your limits.

I placed my right arm on her belly to keep her from moving forward. When she met my arm, Lena fell unconscious. She was about to complete this training today, which was already outstanding considering the state of the other guards.

I carried Lena like a princess and left her lying in a tree. Finally, I gave Frederick a copy of the note I made with the sanctioned so that they could learn what the punishment was. I also told him to take care of Lena and send her to the mansion when she wakes up.

Not wanting to stay in this place any longer, I went to the adventurer's guild. The place looked rustic as always and the smell of alcohol assailed the nose. Walking to the counter, the cute receptionist from last time greeted me.

-     Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild.

Seeing that her attitude didn't change, I said.

-     I came to exchange these cores for points and also to set up a commission.

I waved my hand and a bag appeared on the counter. Inside were the cores of goblins and horned rabbits that I hunted yesterday. The woman checked the cores and placed them on a kind of wooden board.

A slightly iridescent whitish light began to envelop the cores. Soon after, the receptionist nodded and said.

-     Well, their cores were successfully priced. Its value is estimated at 100 points. Please give me your adventurer card.

I gave her my card without hesitation and the woman recorded something with magic. I already knew this process of the game, so I wasn't surprised. I was still far from rising through the ranks anyway. Once the circle vanished, the woman stared at me and said.

-     Please provide me with the details of the order, the reward, and the applicant rank.

I thought for a moment and pointed out that I required a silver-rank adventurer to train the city guards for a year. The reward would be one gold coin per month giving a total of 12 coins. This value was attractive to any adventurer of the rank, so the receptionist didn't refute anything. Receptionists had the power to refuse in charge if the rewards were not enough.

-     Your order has been successfully posted.

With that said, I left the guild and went into the forest to hunt. If I'm lucky today, I might be able to take it out on the surrounding beasts for being forced to pay 12 gold coins.

When I arrived at the forest, I was greeted with the sound of leaves moving in the wind. I instantly used tracking and followed the tracks of what appeared to be a bear. This skill was very useful and saved me a lot of time.

As I reached what appeared to be a grove of trees, I noticed the bear trying to reach a honeycomb. This bear was called a moonlight bear. Its appearance didn't change much from the grizzly bear of my previous world. The only thing different was its claws, which were now metallic.

This creature was more dangerous than a goblin and a horned rabbit, but it was still on the same level. The bear sniffed the air, noticing my presence, but it was too late.

I had lunged at the bear and gotten close enough in a matter of seconds to allow me to rip open its helpless abdomen.

-     BUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Blood and guts gushed from the bear's body. The bear let out a thunderous cry of pain and suffering.

As its life force escaped from its body, I used blood control so as not to waste a single drop of its stinky blood. The bear had a strong odor in its blood that would make any human vomit. As far as my senses were concerned, I found it somewhat stinky but pleasant at the same time.

The blood pooled in a sphere which I swallowed without hesitation. I thought about the taste for a bit until I swallowed it. It was like the taste of a beef stew. It was very tasty and pleasant to the palate.

-     Strength is permanently increased by 1 point.

I took the bear's core, skinned it, and thought about what to do with the rest of the body. The bear meat was tasty and had a lot of nutritional value. Above all, since it is a magical beast, the market value of its meat would be exceptional.

-     If this was the game, I'd have saved it... I'm stupid!

I immediately opened my status and searched for the inventory feature. This was a system skill and not mine, but it allowed me to save items. In this world there were dimensional bags or dimensional rings that had the same function, but were highly expensive.

If the option was still available, it would save me a lot of money or instead I would have to wait until I reached the sixth circle before I could release space magic. Luckily for me the option was available.

A blue screen with multiple lockers appeared next to my mink line. Thinking it was the same as the game, I thought I'd put the bear in that space, which worked. Now the fur, meat, and core took up 3 lockers.

This little discovery made my day. Once that problem was solved, I continued to venture into the woods and go deeper without me noticing.
