Tales of magic and demons was a popular open-world RPG game. Where people could choose one of the different classes and fight in the name of the goddess Crystal to protect this world from the clutches of the demon king.
This game was extremely popular due to the fact that it was a virtual reality game where you completely immersed yourself in a character. In the beginning, everyone was really ecstatic to have the opportunity to fulfill their dreams in a fantasy world. However, it was its difficult gameplay mechanics that determined its fall in popularity. This mechanic forced the player to learn different chants, sword techniques, spells, and even how to craft items. These actions were not automatic, so one had to spend a lot of time at the beginning of the game just to be able to trigger the most basic spell in the game, which was clearing.
Within the game there were the basic classes of knights, cleric, mage, thief, and archer. Of which I stood out as an archmage of the ninth circle. Within the game I was known as Merlin, the Great Sage of the East. He knew almost every spell in the game. In addition to excelling in blacksmithing and alchemy.
At the beginning of the game, I had a lot of teammates who had as much fame as mine. However, little by little, they became permanently disconnected from this game. This is because of the extreme difficulty and the many hours that one had to dedicate to this game. They could no longer spend their time because of their conflicts in reality. This affected me a lot.
To be honest, I would have liked to disconnect from this game too if it wasn't for the many problems I had in the real world.
My parents abused me all my life. I never had a birthday party or the opportunity to make just one friend. You could say I was a complete loner who tried to run away from my problems by focusing on something else.
My parents' abuse wasn't just verbal. The two of them were in charge of whipping me and beating me at points where people couldn't realize that I was continuously abused.
This wasn't just limited to my home. My day got worse since I went to elementary school where I was also beaten and insulted. The truth was that I didn't want to live. If it hadn't been for the accident in which my parents died, I would have already committed suicide.
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I got a letter from my father's insurance company in which they left me a large sum of money for them accident. What I didn't expect was that my luck was going to run out so quickly. The doctor diagnosed me with a strange degenerative disease that kept taking away my mobility every day. Angered by this, I had no choice but to buy an immersion capsule and try this technology that allowed me to stand, even if it was in a virtual world. I also hired a nurse who was in charge of cleaning me up and taking care of me until I died.
Every day trying to escape my reality. I immersed myself in the game and explored every nook and cranny of this vast world that seemed to have no end. The feel and graphics in this game were incredibly real. The bad thing was that we couldn't have relationships or physical contact with the npcs or players of this game outside of combat. This adult content was completely blocked and if anyone tried to perform it, they would be fiercely electrocuted.
This frustrated me a lot as I had not had contact with women before and the desire had already taken hold of me. The desire to hug a woman's flesh was all that filled my mind, I wanted to make her moan and fill all her holes until her mind collapsed for my cock. However, my little friend became useless due to the disease.
With no other choice I completely immersed myself in the game defeating all kinds of monsters, completing quests, rescuing princesses, etc. I read every book about magic that existed and mostly tried to defeat the demon king multiple times. Of course, I died every time I tried. However, this time was different. After four years since the game's release, today was finally the day I could defeat him.
My mind was fully prepared for this moment. The doctor told me a couple of days ago that I had a few days to live and before that happens, I wanted to destroy this monster. It was the last thing I had left and at least it would leave a name in the history of this virtual continent.
I frantically prepared, enchanted weapons, upgraded my equipment and tools, and even prepared a lot of trap spells around the battlefield. The battle was fierce, forcing me to use all my knowledge of magic.
After four hours of fierce combat where fireballs, lightning bolts and holy spears flew everywhere, the demon king finally collapsed.
This creature was the most mysterious in the game as it had no weakness to any elemental affinity and its body was covered by shadows that did not allow its real appearance to be seen.
The demon king dissipated into mist and frantically entered my body through every opening in my body. For a moment I thought that I hadn't been able to defeat him yet and that there was one last phase of the game left. However, my breathing began to get heavy with each passing second, my movements in the game stopped, and despair covered my mind.
I couldn't breathe and this meant that my lungs had stopped. I finally knew my time had come. I could no longer move anything in my body other than my head. The disease progressed completely until it reached my lungs.
I was suffering one of the most painful ways to die. The desperation to breathe was too strong. With my hands I tore the floor until my fingernails in the game were ripped out.
The fog finished entering my body and with it my vision slowly closed. The last thing I saw were two system announcements, one in red and one in blue. The red one said that my body was in crisis and the other was that I was able to defeat the demon king successfully and that the inheritance process was in the beginning.
System: Someone worthy has been detected.
Congratulations on completing Tales of magic and gods.
