Chapter 19 - Devil against God

"It was the Risen era, when the upper lords was regarded as both peacemakers and destroyers." It was true that many of the upper lords feared me and that some of them were simply matchless against my talents during the time I was at the peak of my powers, battling against every one of them.

From the high skies to the lands of all, my madness was all over the place. Then, the lords gave me the label "the king that plays with dark fire," and when three kings of their own periods rose to power,

First – Shadow monarch

Second – Time lord

And there biggest and the hardest to deal with was – Light monarch.

They were a formidable trio, with both destructive abilities and weapons. They first engaged in combat with another lords, which ended in a draw when I intervened at the last minute. However, a little while later, the upper lord began fighting the time lord.

In the chaos of strong power against strong power, the shadow monarch battled beside him to protect him. At first, all the lords had the upper hand, but then tragedies awaits them as the shadow monarch revealed his true strength.

I wanted to fight him because I saw how strong he was. I was pleased as I awaited the end of the conflict since I knew they would win in the end, but then something unexpected happened: the upper lords withdrew, suffering severe injuries that nearly killed them, and two of them killed. I initially believed that the two lords had sadly died. However, once I learned the information from one of the lord and as they were engaged in combat, the translucent space cube that contained the lord of time was entirely shut, and the dark lord vanished since they were unable to find him.

It was advantageous for the lords since they could have had both of those worlds, but they were unsuccessful because the light monarch discovered that he had sealed himself off for the benefit of his allies, which could kill him gradually, but also for the benefit of his allies' lands and world, which he had vowed to protect with his life in the event that something happened to them. It was necessary for him to do it.

I observed and saw things, but nothing upset me more than one particular incident, which was… I was unable to fight with the dark cave man without any face… Feel the sadness.

Following that, I made the decision to rest in an area where things bend and move more quickly. In that space, time was only a number that had no meaning and could be changed at will. Following a few hours,

Something felt, the controlled, even the strongest were unable to break through and into this region where I sensed someone's aura. That was unexpected, though, because it was possible to sense someone's aura from the outside, not only from a distance. But incredibly far away.

I wanted to see, but I felt sleepy, than I wanted to see. After searching for a while.

I saw…

Not just any ordinary 21-year-old human, but a dangerous 21-year-old engaged in combat with his own people. Startled, as I sensed blood and recognizable energy. I was excited to take on that human; initially, I was going to approach him, but things changed. since I believed his power had no bounds. It was as though someone had burst his power limit from within.

He fought and fought, once fighting his kind to protecting his kind, and fighting against the danger that were endless at some point. He had a system which was giving him powers which was the key through which I found out who was behind it. An old friend… but I waited for my turn to fight him.

Every now and then, he caught up to me. He was able to control three souls at once at that point. The one-man army had given way to man with the world's (man holding the army of worlds). With them, he carried the weapon of the time lord and the light lord. The whole abilities of the Shadow Lord.

Like 3 in 1 truly. (it's different from this sentence - He was able to control three souls at once at that point.)

You have to battle the person you have been friends with in order to find your enemy in him. He was not the only one in the initial combat; the majority of the participants did had same system. However, their abilities were limited. However, my right hand guy stopped me, and I had to fight him since I needed to visit that hall-fair site one more. I had to be there since a hundred years ago.

After appearing there and coming back. I had the worst news of my life. Oh wait—I was present there so…

The purportedly 21-year-old human stood there, clutching the Light Lord weapon silently. He had terrifying eyes with a sinister aura emanating from them. then I noticed my well-known right hand guy lying on the ground, dead.

Oh wait again--- how can he die?! I mean he was after all immortal because his life was connected to hall-fair so yeah. He survived.

Then our battle started, but after 45,000 years, I gave it my all this time. I exerted every last bit of my strength. Yet…

We attacked each other with punches and fire, killing a lot of people in the process. Everything was going well for me as I was leading the win, but then as I had feared. He made the decision to use all of his power. That surprised me all along. I was up against an opponent who had not fully committed to the fight. Was I joke to him? Maybe… (Again, sadness for me)

We spent many, many hours fighting. No conflict had ever broken the laws or rocked the planets before. The more combat we had. Our power differential widens, and I felt as though the dark is consuming me.

That's what I believed—that it wasn't the end. What had Shadow Monarch made, truly a monster? A monster or a hero?

Although he and I were both weaker, he didn't seem hurt. It was the first time I felt terror. Because someone showed me that I had never experienced this thing called death in my 78,000 years of life.

Although it was in vain, I ran because I knew I had to. His flame, which he knew could burn anything, caught me. Flames of light, dark. it gave me the death penalty.

at the final minutes of my life. I caught a few of his words. "I'm heading for this system's creator."

I laughed at what he said, but in all honesty, it didn't feel like a joke—rather, it felt like a serious threat, as though the system was that person's plaything rather than its creator.

"And I died, but I was brought back to life through a contract with the author, and I'm here now."

"Why didn't you just tell us about the fight you had with the 21-year-old alone?" stated Carlos.

But it makes sense, Tugas added, raising a hand. Tugas asked with a straight face, "What was the point of the prior section of the story if the other part was the major one?"

"Exactly," IJ exclaimed, grinning broadly.

"It's unbelievable that everyone is acting like kids in such a serious situation," Leon muttered, placing his hand on his forehead.
