As we pulled up to the house, my heart pounded with anticipation. The white picket fence that surrounded the property creaked in the wind, adding an eerie touch to the already ominous scenery.To the outside viewer, the mansion would have seemed identical to any other in the prestigious neighborhood. Large curtained windows set in solid concrete walls and burnt red tiles on the roof. Stone statues guarding the entrance, a freshly trimmed lawn, flowering bushes and sunlight reflecting off the surface of a pool on a typical warm summer day.
Sitting by the border with her pale slim legs, sat a woman staring numbly at the ripples spreading from where her bare feet glided across the lustrous water. Her red, puffy eyes were framed by disheveled hazel hair and an oversized shirt hanged on her body.
A well-kept gravel path led to automatic double doors. Inside, rested proudly several brand-new sumptuous. I took a deep breath and made my way up the steps, feeling the wooden planks groan beneath my weight. The door creaked open, and the scent of nice food and musty air hit my nose. I hesitated for a moment, but my curiosity got the best of me, and I stepped inside, ready to uncover any mystery that came my way...all the while Ruth following behind closely ...
A colossal couch occupied the living room along with the most recent TV released. His mouth full of chocolate ice cream, a forlorn university boy devoured every word the TV presenter uttered. Next to him, an empty box of biscuits and a packet of crisps were thrown across the cushioned seats. A creaking bookcase accommodated torn books looking ahead vacantly.
Ethan !! I called out ... finally seeing him after what seemed like forever all the while standing still

Ethan stood from his seat and excitedly beckoned his Mother who was seated somewhere at the pool and his father probably in his study ....come and see !!! Mikey is home he called out to them
he slowly walked to join Mike .... shyly hugging him as he approached him ... he truly missed this Man
steping backwards,Ethan glanced around and finally saw Ruth ... standing smiling ear to ear for him ... hey Ruth ?? He waved ... but on second thoughts he took hesitant steps forward and stretched out his hand to Ruth ... because he thought it was simply weird waving at his in -law even if he wasnt comfortable
father !! Mike said with tighteness... how are you?? It's been a while ....Ma !!look at you ??? He said a bit warm to her
his father just nodded to acknowledge his presences while his Mother gave him hug
welcome ... I missed you , you no longer visit me why, nor call me anymore .Anyways will talk later about it ... his mother stated warmly ...first you guys need to settle in ...Ethan here will show you to your room
and Ruth come here dear...she beckoned her ... steping forward she gave her a hug ....how was the trip dear??? How have you being ??? You no longer call me you too anyways off you go both you .... go settle in she stated again
Ma was always nice ....but ignorant with certain things ....I looked at father on my right ... as usual he had a stoic expression ...I could not read what he was thinking like always...
I was once again brought to reality when I felt a hand brushing my shoulder... shall we honey ?? Ruth said to me ...honey what was this woman up to ??? Ruth never calls me sweet names ....why?
