After the civil war in London. Adam and the others had been laying low while the world was embroiled in chaos that he seeded in order to wake the people up and root out the rot and decay from the government. The plan takes time to reach fruition. So, now he had a lot of time in hand to spend.
"Hmn… we really need more live combat experience especially the others. Combat experience is really important and it's a matter of life and death for them to be able to make the right decision under stress."
"However… we didn't really have much of an option. A military exercise isn't an option when our only ally is the Royal Navy and they are busy right now. Attacking the Siren isn't really an option either because the wandering fleets are too weak and those at the Siren base are too strong." Enterprise contemplates her options while thinking of another idea since both aren't really helpful.
Meanwhile Adam had been observing his Status Screen. He realized his leveling had stagnated since arriving in this world since he can't directly fight the enemy unlike in Remnant.
"I really need practice too because I think I am getting rusty…" Adam mutters which was heard by Enterprise.
"You want to fight Siren too, Commander?" She asked in confusion.
"No. I have an even better idea." He said while looking at his System.
Of course he is going for an Interdimensional Contract. Since it will give Adam exactly what he needs, he just needs to trust his System.
"Assemble everyone at the dock. I will be there in a moment. Also make sure everyone is in combat ready state." Adam said cryptically to Enterprise who nodded and decided not to question the reason.
Meanwhile, Adam ordered the Agent to get the preparation done for their next Interdimensional Contract.
"Hmn… a sizable threat but not overwhelming. Should be perfect enough for the shipgirls and myself." Adam mutters as he scroll through the screen and makes a series of nods before he teleports himself away.
———
"Why are we gathered here? Is there a sortie?" A less energetic and sleepy looking Cleveland walked up to the gathered crowd while yawning and rubbing her eyes.
"Possibly… I had no clue actually. Commander only ordered me to round up everyone and make sure everyone is in combat ready state. So, go load up your ammunition and fuel, Cleveland."
"Yes Ma'am…" Cleveland replied with a salute and lazily shambled over to the maintenance bay and got her ammunition and fuel restocked.
Moments later, Adam teleported in with his companions and looked around before making a satisfied nod.
"Good, everyone is here. Let's begin the briefing then. As you may already expect. There's a mission for us but not in this world. We will be going to another world to fight against Aliens that are driving humanity to extinction. Just think of it as live combat training." He said and looked at everyone before asking. "So, any questions?"
Adam immediately sees Enterprise and New Jersey lift their hand and then look at each other in surprise.
"Go ahead." Enterprise gives New Jersey. New Jersey nods back with a wordless thanks.
"If I listen correctly, Commander. You said another world?"
Enterprise nodded too as her question is apparently the same as New Jersey.
"Oh right, I never told you all about this." Adam laughed sheepishly as he just remembered. "Anyway, I have the ability to send me to another world to do a mission as a mercenary to fight and earn rewards and find companions. In fact, most of my close companions are from those worlds." Adam said and pointed at his Servants.
"Eh, I know they aren't normal. That explains a lot." Hornet nods like she finally found the answer to an unsolvable question.
"Regarding the mission, Commander. What will we be fighting against specifically?" Enterprise asked when she noticed the conversation was steered off the right track and out of a healthy curiosity since it's strategically important to know what she and the others will be up against.
"Well, when I said Alien. I mean it. I figured it's a very vague term. But I myself didn't fully recall all the information. However, I did try my best to compile everything I knew about the BETAs." Adam said and started a holographic slideshow to start the briefing regarding any information he remembered about BETA.
After the short briefing about BETA, he teleported everyone into the bridge and initiated the jump. Since he already unlocked the Orbital Fortress. He is no longer limited to only a handful of participants that are his companions. Instead, he can bring anyone that can fit into the Orbital Fortress that will jump along into the Mission world.
"Let's go!" Adam excitedly declared when the ship initiated the interdimensional jump.
———
25 December 2001, in Earth low orbit. An unknown spacecraft made its appearance before swiftly turning invisible which sent shivers to anyone that managed to see its brief appearance.
"Dave… did you see that too?"
"Yeah…"
"So, I'm not tripping balls?" One of the Orbital Diver units asked.
"Fuck! Report to HQ immediately!" Dave said, worried if it's something the BETA recently cooked up for them.
Meanwhile, in the Orbital Fortress.
"Damn, we are late to the party." Adam whined a little when he saw a black artificial cloud already engulf the sky of sadogashima and lasers shooting through it like it's a dance floor down there.
"Should we make contact with the locals, Master?" Agent asked.
"No. Not yet." Adam held on to that decision as the System had yet to assign the Objectives.
Moments later, a notification from his System alerted Adam and prompted him to open his mission tab.
[Battle for Sadogashima]
Objective;
(Main)
- Successful capture or destruction of the Hive Reactor.
- Successful recovery of Unit 00
- Overall casualty rate not exceeding 70%
(Side)
- Overall casualty rate not exceeding 50%
- Prevent the Self-destruction of XG-70b Susanoo II
- Annihilation of all BETA Strains on Sadogashima.
(Optional)
- Accumulate 100,000 BETA kill
- Help the allies to secure a beachhead on Mano Bay and establish a foothold on the shore.
- Survival of all A-01 Special Task Force members
- Destroying Hive 21th before XG-70b Susanoo II
Reward: ???
Adam stared at the long ass list of objectives in silence while rapidly forming battle plans in his head according to what he remembered and the influx of data observed from the surface.
But all his plans are useless if he cannot gain the permission to join the battle and is considered as hostile. Although, he doubts they would try to push away any helping hands especially in such trying time.
After a brief moment of silence, Adam lifted his head up and ordered Agent to establish contact with the battleship Mogami which is the HQ for this operation.

"Admiral. A hail from an unknown channel!" One of the staff handling the communication informed me out loud.
"Unknown channel? Could it be the unknown spacecraft spotted by the Orbital Divers?" The Admiral was contemplating if he should answer or not but Dr Kouzuki immediately advised to answer the call.
"We must ascertain this unknown factor. Besides, we stand to lose nothing from this regardless of the outcome."
"Indeed… Answer the hail."
"Yes, Admiral." The communication staff quickly answered the unknown call and caused the main screen to turn dark and quickly switched to a bloody red background with a white image of a skull appearing briefly before it switched to a video call.
Admiral Ozawa and Dr Kouzuki briefly looked at the man that appeared on the screen and noted his uniform. A white uniform usually worn by a US Navy officer without any insignia that state his rank, normally only in official ceremony type of setting.
"Who are you and from which nation are you from?" Admiral Ozawa asked with a frown as this interloper is disturbing an active operation.
"I am Adam White, a Mercenary at your service." Adam introduced himself and snapped his finger before his outfit changed back to his SAS armor after realizing his current Navy officer outfit is unsuitable for his current identity that he wanted to project.
Looking at what seems to be a magic trick, Dr Kouzuki broke the silence and demanded Adam's nationality as the concept of mercenaries shouldn't even exist anymore as basically all of humanity had been conscripted to service against BETAs. The only exception being underage children or old people that are unsuitable for military or logistic service. So, for a mercenary group to exist. It could only mean that the mercenary group was made up of people that escaped conscription or deserters. But considering Adam had the whole spacecraft up in the orbit, Dr Kouzuki guessed there is another explanation.
"Nationality? Hmn… I wonder about myself. It's complicated. But I am definitely not from your Earth. I am an Interdimensionary Mercenary after all." Adam explains which sounded too unrealistic that the Admiral got angry and demanded Adam to stop his joke and answer seriously.
"Jokes? I am afraid I am not joking. Surely Dr Kouzuki would understand my circumstances?" Adam said when he remembers that she is the only one that would believe his words considering her experience with Shirogane Takeru's circumstances.
Dr Kouzuki cuts off Admiral Ozawa's angry shouts and her face turns serious before she asks her question.
"Takeru… Are you in the same circumstances as him?" She asked.
"No, unlike him. I can traverse dimension freely." Adam answered.
"I see. It's illogical but fine. I guess the reason why you contacted us is because you are trying to offer help?" She wondered with a wild guess.
"Indeed." Adam confirmed with a nod.
"Then what is your price? A mercenary will not work for free right?" A calculative look appeared on her face as she went down to the negotiation.
"Preposterous! We are at the brink of extinction and fighting on humanity's behest. Those who are human should willingly join our cause." The Admiral demanded with an angry slam on the terminal which luckily broke nothing.
Dr Kouzuki glared briefly at Admiral Ozawa and asked him to let her handle this.
To be honest, Adam didn't really need or care about their rewards since the System already got that part covered. But Adam would be lying if he wouldn't take the opportunity presented to him. Besides, he is forced to anyway as he doubts anyone would believe an 'mercenary' working for free. So, to make it believable. He has to take payment somehow.
"So, what is your price?" Dr Kouzuki narrowed her eyes, preparing herself to haggle even and hope to bring Adam i to this operation as surely someone that has the technology to traverse dimension will have superior firepower to annihilate the BETAs.
"Hmn… I want the blueprint of a Gen 3 TSF and the blueprint of XG-70b Susanoo II. Is that term acceptable?" Adam asked as while he didn't really care about anything else. He does have interest in acquiring a production method for TSF for his 'future uses'.
"Blueprint?" Dr Kouzuki was a little confused as she expected something outrageous. Well, the blueprint for the superweapon, XG-70b Susanoo II is kinda outrageous. But it will sooner or later go public anyway since no way her experiment would fail and it will be humanity's new weapon against the BETAs.
So, giving away the blueprint isn't really outrageous in some sense. In fact, it's rather cheap considering what Adam can bring to the table.
"May I ask why you need these blueprints?" Dr Kouzuki asked and Admiral Ozawa was also interested as he paid close attention to the conversation despite not showing it outwardly.
"Well, it's not only your Earth that has the Alien infestation problem." Adam shrugs.
Although, Siren isn't really alien since they are manmade but from another timeline but people of the current Earth sees them as alien.
Dr Kouzuki and Admiral Ozawa and other staff on the bridge of Mogami were surprised by the reply Adam had for them.
"Fair enough." Dr Kouzuki nods.
"Then I will prepare for battle. Just give me a general direction. I will try my best to follow. Though don't expect me to follow everything down to the letter." Adam said before cutting the communication.
"Wait, shouldn't you follow our comma-" The communication cut off before Dr Kouzuki could finish.
Moments later, the Orbital Fortress shed its invisibility field and reappeared. Catching a lot of people off guard before it launched multiple projectiles that descended down directly in the midst of a complete slaughterhouse for both TSF and BETAs at Mano Bay's beachhead.
