Chief Hanks looked at Lily and smiled. The wrinkles deepened around his crinkling eyes.
"We have an ace on our team who specializes in exorcising ghosts."
A month before Ethan returned to the country, Chief Hanks kept Lily in mind and began to hatch a plan.
"I'll be in your care, sunbaes."
Lily lowered her head. Because of her blue police uniform, she looked even more pale. She didn't care whether Chief Hanks was using her or not. As long as it would help her make contact with Ethan, Lily would do anything she was asked.

Her mom gave Ethan a corner of their living room. Their house was an old two-bedroom villa. They called it a living room, but it was actually a small space connected to their kitchen. The bedding and a small foldable desk designated Ethan's space.
