Seeing everyone's shocked faces, Aldric couldn't help but smile. "So, what do you think, Mr. Afeef? Have I proven myself enough?" Aldric asked, sheathing his sword. Afeef got up and went to Torin, admitting, "You are strong, I admit."
"May I ask you something?" Torin interrupted.
"What?" Aldric replied.
"How did you defeat him, and why did his attacks suddenly stop working when they were effective earlier?" Torin questioned, his tone indicating that he wouldn't accept any lies, while releasing his aura towards Aldric.
Aldric felt immense pressure, knowing that Torin was strong, but he didn't give in. Aldric understood that giving up now would mean having no future, as the same fate would befall him. Aldric released his War God Dominance aura, filled with his killing intent.
"Sir Torin, I respect you, but don't misunderstand. I am not weak, and I don't like being ordered around," Aldric declared, his aura rampaging out. Kane and Sharlyn couldn't withstand the aura and fell on their knees.Torin was taken aback by the release of Aldric's aura, surprised that this young man could oppose his own aura. "H... how can this be possible? Such killing intent from a young man like him. I feel like I am standing in the presence of a dragon right now," Torin thought to himself.
Seeing things getting out of control Torin had no choice but to back off. "I am sorry I acted rashly," Torin apologized, retracting his aura. "Please answer my question then," he continued, this time in a more polite tone. Seeing Torin retracting his aura, Aldric also retracted his own aura and Kane and Sharlyn finally got up they were drenched in cold sweat. Aldric then proceeded by saying, "When the battle was ongoing, I heard you saying that Afeef has awakened a special class called Mana Knight. But even though Afeef has awakened this class, he is still vulnerable to physical attacks..." Just as Aldric was explaining, Sharlyn interrupted, asking, "How is it possible for a swordsman to be weak against attacks?"
"Let me finish, will you?" Aldric said. Embarrassed, Sharlyn quietly stood behind Kane. Aldric continued, "As I was saying, Afeef is vulnerable to physical attacks because when he transforms into his special class, he performs mana attacks and consumes mana from his surroundings. So, even if unintentional, he becomes a partial magician. And as we know, magicians are always vulnerable to physical attacks. That's how I defeated him," Aldric explained, relying on the information the system had provided him.
"Okay, but what about the latter part when his attacks didn't work on you?" Torin inquired.
"It is simple. I have a skill that negates magical attacks on me," Aldric replied to Torin. It was obvious that Aldric couldn't reveal his true abilities, which could negate any damage inflicted upon him. So, he created a truthful lie that everyone would believe.
"Okay, that explains it," Sharlyn said.
"If you want to remove this weakness of yours, try defending when the cooldown for your attack starts," Aldric suggested, looking at Afeef.
"You, what are you?" Torin questioned because after listening to the Aldric words he knew the guy in front of him was not a no man. If he noticed such minute details in the battle he was engaged in and come with the strategy to use it then this guy was a True War God.
"Sir Torin, I think we should talk about that later," Kane interjected, looking at Torin.
"Aldric, we want to ask you, do you need this dead body of the Naga or not?" Torin asked."Why do you want to know that?" Aldric inquired.
"OnWe are here on a quest to hunt a Naga, but we can't do it because we aren't powerful enough. Our only ace was Afeef's transformation, but he has already used it and can't use it again. So, we want to buy it from you," Torin explained to Aldric.
"Okay, I can sell it to you for 3000 duskfall coins," Aldric stated.
"What? That's too expensive!" Kane exclaimed. "Why don't you just rob us instead?""Okay, we are in no position to negotiate, but the price is indeed too much. Why don't you come with us to the city, and we will pay you upfront there?" Torin suggested to Aldric.
"Okay," Aldric nodded in agreement. "But what should we do with this body? We can't drag it all the way there.""Don't worry about it," Aldric said, taking the Naga's dead body and putting it into his inventory.
"What is this?" Sharlyn shouted in disbelief. "Sharlyn, everyone has their own secrets. Let it go," Torin said, giving Aldric an understanding gaze.
They traveled for five hours straight and finally exited the forest. They soon reached a path made of plain bricks, with many carriages coming and going. Finally, they arrived at the gate of the city, which was covered by towering walls, estimated to be at least 700 meters in height.
"What are you looking at?" Sharlyn asked Aldric.
"Nothing, let's go," Aldric replied.
