Team Ben accepted the job change because of Wendy. They would go to Shirotsume with the 'package,' which was Joseph's son, Arthur. Luckily, they had a magic car that could make the job easier and faster. Using a carriage or walking would make the task harder and take more time.
"While you move with the 'package,' I will also move there with our carriage. We will have one of our men disguised as Arthur to fool the enemy," Joseph explained.
"You want to move together?" Ben raised an eyebrow.
"No, what I mean is that we will move at the same time, but separately. With that, the enemy will target our group instead of yours, hopefully," Joseph clarified.
"Can you take care of the mages in case they attack you?" Ben inquired.
"Yes, I have some mages that work for me. You might be wondering why I don't just let them send the 'package.' Well, we only have three mages working for us, and it won't be enough for this plan. Besides, we want to avoid suspicion by not letting our mages send the 'package,'" Joseph explained.
Ben knew there was something more to Joseph's plan, but he decided not to pry into it.
"Well, whatever, it's your plan; we just need to follow it," Ben said.
"Thank you for your understanding," Joseph expressed gratitude.
Joseph and his trusted men then prepared everything. They placed Arthur in a special box and put it in Garuda Phoenix's trunk. They also added some small boxes as a disguise to fool any potential spies lurking around. Now, this really looked like a package delivery job.
"Please be careful on the way. I leave the package to you," Joseph said.
"Yeah, you just need to pray nothing bad will happen. Although the possibility is small," Ben commented.
"Yes, I understand that," Joseph acknowledged.
Team Ben entered the car with Wendy and the cats sitting in the front passenger seat together. After everything was prepared, Ben hit the gas pedal, and they set off to Shirotsume town. Ben used low speed when they were still in the town. Then, when they left the town and entered the highway, Ben drove the car faster.
"OUCH, OUCH. Please drive slower!" Arthur exclaimed from inside the box.
"Just get out of that box! There's no use staying there from now on. This car is a lot safer than that box," Ben advised.
Arthur came out from the box and entered the passenger room through a small door connecting the trunk with the inner room. Ben told him to wear the seatbelt and enjoy the ride. After that, Ben pushed the gas pedal deeper and made the car run faster.
"WAAAHHH! SLOW DOWN! SLOW DOWN!" Arthur was frightened.
"What are you being afraid of? Even Wendy isn't afraid of this, and the cats are enjoying this," Ben remarked.
"B-BUT I NEVER RODE SOMETHING THIS FAST. I-IT'S DANGEROUS," Arthur protested.
"Then you need to get used to this. We need to move fast so the enemy won't be able to chase us," Ben insisted.
"B-but I-i feel... nauseous," Arthur's face turned green.
"SHIT! DON'T YOU DARE PUKE IN MY CAR!" Ben exclaimed.
Ben immediately hit the brakes and stopped the car. Arthur opened the door and puked outside, keeping the car safe.
"Phew, safe," Ben sighed.
"Are you okay?" Wendy asked.
"Y-yes, I feel better now," Arthur replied.
"Tsk, you should tell me if you have motion sickness," Ben scolded.
"I don't have it. Your driving is just too wild," Arthur defended.
"Sigh, Wendy, cast something to help him," Ben requested.
"Yes," Wendy agreed.
Wendy approached Arthur and cast a spell to help him.
"Troia!" Wendy cast a spell that could help with Arthur's motion sickness. Now he shouldn't puke again, so Ben could drive very fast again.
"P-please get slower! Even if I won't puke again, I feel like I'll get trauma," Arthur pleaded.
"Ben nii-san, let's move slower," Wendy suggested.
".... Sigh, fine," Ben agreed.
Ben moved the car at normal speed, making Arthur relieved.
"You know, if you want to drive that fast, you should join the racing tournament instead," Arthur suggested.
"Racing tournament? There's such a thing?" Ben questioned.
"You don't know, huh? Well, there are some tournaments held every year. The biggest one is the Grand Magic Prix held by the Kingdom once per year. Sometimes it becomes an event in the Grand Magic Games too," Arthur explained.
"Grand Magic Games?" Wendy asked.
"Is that an Arcade?" Ben wondered.
"Huh? You two didn't know about Grand Magic Games?" Arthur had a dark expression.
""Do we need to know?"" Ben and Wendy inquired.
Arthur had a dark expression because there were two mages from a guild that didn't know about Grand Magic Games. Arthur sighed and explained it to them. Basically, it was just a tournament to decide the strongest guild in Fiore.
"Ooh, the strongest guild, huh? That sounds good," Ben got interested.
"Well, any guild will be interested in that title, so they'll participate in it. Usually, the guild will send a team of five mages to compete in the games," Arthur said.
"5? Sigh, it seems we won't be able to join it at all," Ben remarked.
"Eh? Why? You don't have enough members?" Arthur inquired.
"The old man won't let us join it. If we just need one member, then I will sneak in to participate. But if it's a team game, then it will be impossible to do," Ben explained.
"Well, it's a tournament to decide the strongest guild, not the strongest mage, so you'll need to work together with your guild members," Arthur advised.
"Forget about the Games; explain the Grand Prix to me," Ben demanded.
"Hmm, different from Grand Magic Games, the racing tournament doesn't represent a guild. So sometimes, there are independent teams or mages that join the tournament. The reward is also good because it is a big event too," Arthur detailed.
"Hoo, that sounds better. I can participate independently even without that fossil's approval. Good, good, hehehehe," Ben had a sly expression.
"You want to participate?" Wendy asked.
"Of course, I'll show the world just how fast my car can run. Do you think anyone has a car as fast as mine?" Ben boasted.
""No way,"" the girls replied.
"Right? HAHAHAHA," Ben laughed.
They continued their way, talking about the racing tournament. Ben was really excited about it because he always wanted to join an official race but never had the opportunity. Racing was expensive, after all, and he couldn't afford the needed money in the past.
While talking, they passed by an alley with tall cliffs on both sides. The road passed through the alley, which had a pretty wide size. Ben had a bad feeling about this and prepared himself.
His premonition seemed to be true when some people with black attire appeared from the top of the cliff. Ben didn't wait like a stupid protagonist and immediately moved the car faster
. The passengers were surprised and screamed.
""KYAA~,"" the girls screamed.
"W-WHA-WHAT HAPPEN? WHY'RE YOU SPEEDING UP?" Arthur panicked.
"Possible threats on both sides; we are being sandwiched. We need to get out of the alley fast and enter an open ground to avoid being cornered by their attacks," Ben explained.
Ben suddenly saw a flash in his mirror and noticed a white flash coming toward them. Ben moved the car to the left and avoided the white spell attack that destroyed the ground. Then, there were many wind arrows being shot at their car, so Ben sped up to avoid all those arrows.
The attackers realized that their attacks were futile, and Team Ben kept getting farther. So they decided to chase Team Ben using their magic cars too. Ben saw the enemies start chasing them with their cars. There were two cars that chased them, and they were rather fast, so Ben grinned.
"I can leave them far behind, but that won't be interesting. Let's use the car to fight; it is designed that way after all," Ben grinned.
