Chapter 1: Introductions

Coy sits by himself in a room full of classmates talking. It's early in the morning, and the sun is shining through the window. However, he has no friends to talk to. Coy doesn't have any parental guardians either. He spends most of his days alone.

He doodles random things in his notebook to pass the time. It's not like he has anything better to do at the moment.

The door to the classroom flies open, and the teacher rushes in.

Teacher: Everyone, please line up! There's an emergency happening right now, and we aren't particularly sure what's going on!

All the students line up at the door and start to walk out of class in a single-file line.

Just as Coy steps outside, he feels a sharp pain in his hand.

Coy (thinking): Ah, what! What is this...!?

He looks at his hand and sees a small hole inside of it, as well as a worm-looking thing crawling in his hand.

Coy (thinking): I don't want to bother the teachers, but... I'll just try to endure the pain for now. I don't want to bother anybody...

They pass through the hallway and see other lines from other classrooms doing the same.

They whisper and ask each other and themselves, "What's going on?" "What's happening?" "What emergency?"

Just as the class is about to pass the bathroom, the door opens, and everyone turns their heads to see what's going on.

Coy: Huh? What is that...?

A snake with three heads emerges from the bathroom. Everyone looks in awe for a second. Then the snake starts slithering over to people, and people start running and screaming.

Coy freezes in place, not knowing what to do, and the snake starts going after him.
