Looking at my watch for the hundredth time doesn't help make time go faster. I feel antsy. Riel was mostly quiet the entire time we were following Grace from shop to shop. She seemed to respond more to Grace than to me however much prodding I did to get her to talk to me.
"This will be our last shop. As soon as Grace comes out we can head to the restaurant." I excitedly told Riel while standing outside the shop waiting for Grace. I didn't get any response or look from Riel. She seemed busy looking at kids playing in front of a toy store.
I moved closer to her and lightly bumped her shoulder with mine. "Are you tired?"
I got a quick and short "Nah."
I persisted. "Worried about finishing our homework?"
"They are done. You know I get those squared away whenever we have plans after school," she answered in a low and calm voice.
I turned to face her and placed both my hands on her shoulders looking straight at her.
"What's your issue then?"
She snapped "You" She stared me in the face and didn't move.
"Me?!? What did I do?" in shock I asked her.
"Never mind." Riel turned to her left side to avoid my questioning face.
"I am sooooo hungry!" Yells Grace as she comes towards us.
I turned towards my sister.
"We will meet our new friends and have dinner with them. Grace, please behave and try not to embarrass the shit out of me. I will truly hurt you if you do." I warned her
Riel smiled at her and winked.
"I am always behaved. You like to irritate me so if you do today, I will embarrass you, so you....", she pointed her finger at me as she moved her face close to my face, "...you behave."
Grace turned around, grabbed Riel's hands, and started walking ahead. I have known for a while that Grace admires Riel. I am selfish with Riel's attention and time. Even though Grace is my sister, I don't like her getting a lot of attention from Riel. It is enough that she has Dad and Mom's attention.
I am thinking of hooking Riel with Alec. I will be fine sharing Riel with him. He is attractive, seems smart, and nice. They will be perfect together. That will also make it easier for me to win Jazi over.
As we approach the restaurant, a group of people are crowding over someone by the entrance. The frustration of the restaurant Manager is obvious on his face.
I looked to check what the group was doing as we stood to wait for the Manager to notice us. There is a beautiful model-like lady signing autographs.
"Oh Em Gee! It's Lo-Ri!!!" Grace gasped loudly.
I asked Riel if she could see who it was. Riel shook her head to answer me. I turned to Grace and asked her who Lo-Ri was. Her excitement was to the max that I barely understood everything she said except for "famous beauty influencer". She must be famous with that kind of crowd around her.
We were finally ushered inside the restaurant. Alec came to greet us halfway. I introduced my sister to him but Grace was still focused on the door trying to take a video frustrating me. Alec mumbled "It's fine" to me as he guided us to the table he reserved.
Riel looked up from reading her cell phone nodded at Alec and waved at Jazi as she sat down.
The school uniform looks good on Alec but the white collared shirt and jeans he has on make him look sexy.
Alec apologetically told us that his girlfriend was running late but will be joining us soon.
I can't help but be curious as to the type a guy like Alec will choose as his girlfriend. He is tall, confident-looking, and neat with the look of a junior executive in the making. He must have a nice chiseled body under that white collared shirt. He probably looks hot without a shirt.
'What the fuck, Gian.' My inside voice screaming. I almost slapped myself but got reminded there were people in front of me. I have fantasized about breast sizes under a lady's clothes, but this is the first time I am imagining a man's bare. chest. I shook my head and continued eating.
We chatted while enjoying the appetizers served in front of us. Jazi looks so cute as she chats with Grace about new outfits she has. Jazi is like her twin brother who is cool and confident but bubbly. She frequently giggles and has a knack for making people feel at ease right away. I can see her connecting with my sister with their personality being similar.
I have to admit, I envy my sister for being the same way. At fifteen, she never feared new places and new people. Grace can easily join adult or young people's conversations with no qualms. She may have the spoiled brat aura but her heart is pure and good.
Riel stayed focused on her cell phone but acknowledged and answered whenever it was called for. One thing about Riel is her consistency in being respectful no matter who is in front of her at any time no matter how she feels.
