A new day emerged as the sun peaked itself over the horizon, while cold mist started to rise above for the animals to awaken. A drop of water glistened as the sun's rays hit its transparent surface, while the sound of birds can be heard in the background.
Not far from the civilization below us, we can hear a soft melodic song of nature. While the leaves rustled with the slight breeze and the birds sang their unique melodies. The waters continued with their flow of journey, just like always with different strokes of water flow each time.
While nature was doing their usual beautiful routines, a figure can also be seen not far from view. With beautiful long dark brown hair that shimmered when showered with sun light as if implying a beautiful light in every darkness. Their unusual luring silver eyes that can make you see the beauty of the world in a glimpse, and their limestone-colored skin as smooth as silk.
With a slender and tender figure, and a beautiful floral dress. The figure got up after finally finishing up the final touches of her hair, Niela Edel Villanueva was the young adult's name. Today is a special day, for it is a day where spirits gather to celebrate their precious princess's Birthday.
"Ela!~"
A call was heard. Niela nicknamed Ela turned to her trusted friend and guardian, Silvy. With a smile, Silvy hugged Ela and sighed.
"Happy Birthday Ela!~"
She happily said towards her friend and princess, Ela merely smiled in delight and happiness at her friend.
"Thank you Silvy..."
She answered warmly, the two talked as they walked along the woods. Light footsteps can be heard at each movement, as happy they can be Ela knew that after this day the true ceremony would decide her fate...
As much as she wanted to stay with her usual days after this, she knew she couldn't and must obey the rules. She had hoped many nights for this day to never come, for she was told about the stories of what would come after their 19th Birthday...
Although exciting for most, others had slight disagreements for it meant that their fate may lead them away from home. Their home, where they have been created and nurtured by their elders and older siblings.
Just like those who had slight disagreements, Ela was one of them. But unlike them, she was stubborn and disagreed until the day came. She disliked the fact that others had to leave for their "fate" had told them to. She called them secretly the "unlucky ones" for they were told and were never given a choice to refuse.
While the others who were given a choice were always the rare ones. In her eyes, it was unfair for those who wanted a different fate but were never given a choice for it. Some died, some lived. And while some were living and achieving gloriousness, others were surviving and fighting for their lives.
She had once thought 'How unfair the fates can be, then again... They were never fair to begin with...'.
And now that it's her time, she prays for the gods to help her through her ceremony and have fate give her a choice... For if not...
Then, she wouldn't know if she would disagree or not... Prayer was usual for her, since ever since she was a child. The elders would tell her that she was special and had the power to communicate with the great gods. She was but a child with no parents, and the Silvana's had decided to keep her after her parent's death.
Upsetting, but it didn't stop her from continuing her life. Even if she had no parents, she still had the Silvana's supporting her. There weren't many Silvana's because of the fates choosing, most had left to do what they were given while little of the others had stayed.
Although some were able to visit, many never came back. Some even disappeared out of the face of the earth, as if their very own presence that had roamed on the surface of the earth never existed...
Some say it must be the fates, others say they had been killed before completing their fate. What do you think?...
----
Niela and Silvy were able to come back before the feast began, not wasting any more time Niela and Silvy sat in their respective seats. Then, the feast began and ended at midnight.
What a wonderful celebration, wonder what more will be in store for our little birdy~
