The group of reporters stood at the edge of the hospital corridor, their cameras and notepads ready for the huge story. One of them pointed toward Shelly as she emerged from the delivery room.
"That's her, isn't it? She's coming out," the first reporter said.
"Yes, but look closely. Something's off. Does she look like someone leaping for joy? She seems... grief-stricken," another observed.
"Looks like our story just took a dramatic turn, all of a sudden," the third one added.
"Yeah, let's figure out what happened. And wait—hold on—isn't that Mr. Stridha right next to her?"
The group squinted, spotting Benjamin standing not far from Shelly, in fact holding her arm and shoulder.
"I thought he wasn't around," one reporter said.
"That's what young Stridha, Muya, said in his message. He explicitly stated, 'Benjamin is not in town at the moment.'"
