Recap;
Well, sir, to tell you the truth, the house I own is worth that much. It can stand as my security. It's just that if I sell my house, my wife and I will suffer without shelter."

Your house alone can't be the surety, Quin. You bought that house a year ago; it can't hold the same significance now. Can it?"
Quin ran out of options until a desperate idea struck him. "My wife—take my wife as surety. That's a given guarantee that I could never go back on my word, sir. I will pay you the money back, I promise."
Benjamin's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of surprise crossing his usually composed features. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk, and looked Quin straight in the eye.
"Your wife, you say? That's a serious offer, Quin. Are you certain you're willing to go to such lengths?"
Quin nodded fervently, his desperation palpable.
