Chapter 52 - MY STATUS : SUDDENLY MARRIED !!!!

CHAPTER 52

Sean was resting his body on the couch after they all left the room because he was exhausted. He wants to feel refreshed when Katelyn and Chris wake up, so he decides to lay down on the couch for a moment, but he falls asleep.

Sean was still lying in the couch when his wife, Katelyn calling his name. When he heard it, he stood up and looking for Katelyn voice. He walked around and arrived in a beautiful garden full of lilies. Katelyn was sitting on a swing in the center of the garden. Sean approached her and want to hold his love but he can't. Looks like something has surround his wife and prevent him to get closer to her. In his confusion, Katelyn said " Stop doing that My love Sean, you can't come closer. It's time to say goodbye to you now. I entrusted Chris to you. I'm sure he will become a great man like you. Promise me my love, you will take care of him well even if I'm not around" He nodded as his wife said her request.

A door knock interrupted Sean's sleep. He opened his eyes and realized he had fallen asleep unintentionally and have a weird dream about Katelyn. The nurse entered the room first, followed by the doctor. She requested permission for the doctor to examine Katelyn. Sean approached Katelyn's bed and attempted to wake her up by touching her hand for an examination. He wondered when he felt his wife's cold hand. The doctor was startled when he began to examine her because he could not find Katelyn's pulse. He immediately asked the nurse to place a defibrillator on Katelyn's chest. The medical team quickly filled the room. One of the nurses helped him exit the room, while another carried his crying baby.

Sean was perplexed by everything that had occurred in front of him all at once. Then he realized something terrible had happened to his wife. He was nervously waiting in front of the door, tears streaming down his cheeks. He had completely forgotten about his son.

In the midst of the chaos, Lewis, who had come to the hospital to obtain Sean's signature, casually approached Sean. When he noticed Sean's unusual behaviour, he accelerated his walk. Lewis approached Sean and tried to calm him as he witnessed what was going on inside the room. He called Alden to go to the hospital right away, and he also called Sean and Emily's parents to ask them to go to the hospital right away without telling them the details because he doesn't know them yet. Sean, as far as he knows, needs all of their support to deal with the situation.

All of them arrived at the hospital quickly because Alden was attending a meeting near the hospital, and their parents were on their way to the hospital as they had previously stated.

They had only just arrived when the door to the room opened. Sean dashed to the doctors and nurses, who had just appeared in front of the room door. One of the doctors approached Sean with a sad expression on his face and said, "We are sorry; we did our best to save your wife. She had already lost her pulse when we arrived. We are unable to restore the pulse."

Sean dashed to see his wife after hearing the news. He's having trouble believing it. He embraced Katelyn's body and attempted to wake her. Lewis and Alden hold Sean and try to calm him down. When the mothers received the news, they all passed out. The nurses guided them to the next room. After their wives were taken care of, the husbands went to the doctor to find out what had happened.

The doctor explained it as cardiomyopathy. Katelyn's long-standing illness has resurfaced. They were all stunned, remembering Katelyn's previous illness. The disease that had previously vanished from her body reappeared and claimed her life.

Sean is struggling to accept the reality of losing his wife, but he has their son, Chris, to care for. Out of nowhere, he remembered the dream he had in the hospital and his promise to Katelyn to take care of their Son well. With the full support of his family and friends, he can finally recover from his setback. His life is now devoted entirely to their son.
