It Was A Saturday Morning, The Alarm Was Ringing Through David's Room As It Was Decorated With Tons Of Doug's Burger Barn Memorabilia And He Even Had Legendary Figures From The Merch. David's Eye Now Had Eyebags Becoming Obvious As He Overslept.
However David Was Actually A Neet Who Usually Resided In His Room Even When He Was Offered To Play Out With His Mates He Turned It Down As He Thought His Figures And Games Were More Important So He Closed Himself Off From Society. His Parents Were Also Concerned About It But Every Tactic They Tried Didn't Work.
Suddenly, Knocking Came On His Door, "Oi David Wake Up You Got A Road Trip Today!" She Yelled With A Pout David Then Slowly Opened His Eyes Rubbing Them A lot Due To The Lack Of Sleep. "Huh Road Trip? Aww Shit" He Grumbled As He Got Out His Bed And Opened Up The Door Coming Face To Face With His Mother's Disappointed Look.
"Now Watch The Language And Wipe That Grease Off You're Face This Instant" She Pointed To The Bathroom As He Walked Off In A Yawn. As He Entered The Bathroom He Wiped His Face And Applied Some Soap As Thoroughly Scrubbed His Chin And Hands As well As His Cheeks.
As He Finished He Went To Go For Breakfast Where He Was Met With A Delicious And Alluring Bacon Sandwich Which Caused Him To Instantly Sit Down And Start Digging In. "Wow Slow Down There Sport, Don't Want You To Be Getting Stomach Aches On The Way To Doug's Playhouse" His Father Chuckled While Reading His Newspaper.
"Doug's Playhouse?" He Asked Confused With Butter Smeared All Over His Lips. "Oh You Didn't You Hear? Doug's Entertainment Opened Up A New Attraction, It's Got A Lazer Tag Area, Some Trampoline Area And Even A Hide And Seek Area Where You Hide From Some Animatronic Monster, You Need To Work With A Team It Says So We Invited You're Friends" He Explained However The Mention Of "Team" Caused Davids Face To Scrunch Up Into A Frown.
"Team Work? Dad I Haven't Been Outside For Months" He Argued To Which His Dad Merely Chuckled "Well You're Gonna Learn To Work As A Team With You're Pals, You'll Finally Socialize Too After Four Months" He Laughed As He Shifted Through The Pages In His Newspaper.
David Grumbled Realizing That Arguing Wouldn't Work Especially With His Father Who Is Always Joyful No Matter The Situation. "Yeah Whatever Dad" He Scowled As He Placed His Empty Plate In The Sink And Went Upstairs To Get Dressed In His Normal Clothes Instead Of His Pajamas.
After About 30 Minutes He Finally Got Dressed Into An Orange Shirt And Ripped Jeans. "I'm Ready Mom" He Yelled As He Went Downstairs. "Well Come On Then The Coach Driver Ain't Got All Day" His Mom Escorted Him To The Coach. The Coach Was A Doug's Entertainment Company Specialized One With White And Purple Colours, Also A Dog On It For The Finishing Touches.
His Dad Stayed Behind To Look After The House, As He Entered With His Mother He Saw All His Friends After A Long Time Of Rotting On His Computer. The Coach Was Filled With Chatter And Food Coating The Floor As Paper Airplanes Went Flying. As He Sat Down He Stared Outside The Window Wishing He Was Back On His Computer.
As The Coach Started, Turning Onto The Road And Accelerating Away From His House. It Started To Get Further, Further And Further Away Until He Didn't See It Anymore, He'd Have To Accept The Fact That He Can't Get Out Of This And Will Have To Roll With The Fun He Thought.
His Friends Were Loud And Obnoxious. The Long Journey On The Coach Was Certainly Boring, With Nothing To See Outside Of The Windows Except For Miles Of Monotonous Countryside. Even Though It Was Boring, There Was No Escape From This Mundane Trip. David Then Looked To His Left Noticing One Of His Chubby Friends Waving At Him. "Oh Great It's Reuben" He Spoke With Sarcastic Joy To Himself.
And For Another Hour Or So He Was Met With The Same Monotonous View Of The Countryside And The Occasional Calling Of His Name From Reuben. He Slowly Gonna Lose His Sanity At This Point. So He Decided To Shut His Eyes And Rest Until He Arrives At Doug's Playhouse.
However, The Coach Finally Arrived At Its Destination, And The Weary David Was Finally Free From The Long And Boring Journey. As He Hopped Of The Coach He Was Met With A Large Glass Building With A Giant Doug Statue. "Damn Well At Least It Looks Sorta Fun" He Yawned As He Followed The Other Kids.
The Event Organizer Then Approached Them "Follow Me Kids, I See You've Booked The Hide And Seek Experience, Great Choice From You're Parents" He Nodded As They Walked Past Many Attractions, The Place Was Filled With Laughter And Energy.
There Was Even Robot Ticket Attendants Built To Look Like Doug The Dog. They Then Arrived To A Large Purple With The Words "Hide And Seek" Written In Fancy Text. "Well Were Finally Here, Uh Adults Please Make You're Way Upstairs As There Is A Viewing Gallery Where You Can Watch You're Kids Have Fun" He Gestures For The Parents To Walk Upstairs.
David's Mom Walked Up To David And Gave Him A Tight Hug "Now Be Nice And Have Fun" She Spoke In A Cheery Tone Before Walking Upstairs With The Other Adults. "Right Well Follow Me Through Here Kids" The Event Planner Opened The Two Big Purple Doors.
As David Walked Through He Was Met With Different Small Structures Where He Could Hide And Run Around. "Huh This Actually Looks Really Fun" He Nodded With A Somewhat Genuine Smile. "Well Have Fun We'll Be Watching In The Viewing Gallery, There Is Emergency Protocols So You'll Be Safe" The Event Planner Walked Away As A Countdown Appeared On The Wall.
As The Event Planner Watched The Attraction From A Far He Got A Sudden Phone Call. "Uh Hello? Dave? Is The Animatronic Ready? Dave!" He Yelled Through The Phone However Then He Noticed Sudden Banging On The Large Metal Door Holding The "Seeker".
"Oh Shit..." He Said In A Worried Tone As The Large Metal Door Collapsed. Causing The Parents To Get Up Against The Glass And Watch In Concern, "This Is What's Meant To Happen Right?" Some Of Them Asked Shocked.
"I Don't Know" The Event Planner Replied Confused About What Was Happening Currently. Back Down Below Them David Watched The Monstrous Animatronic Emerge From The Shadows. It Possessed A Simple Build With A Slim Body Type. It Had Rubber Tentacles Dragging Across The Floor Which Seemed Like They Could Grab Children With Ease.
Along With Black And White Stripes Around It's Body. Along With A Row Of Painted Sharp White Teeth. The Creature Screeched Loudly Enough To Cause Immense Pain To The Ear, The Seeker Then Turned To It's Attention To The Kids. "RUN!" David Yelled As Some Of The Kids Ran Along With Him, The Creature Roared As It Went Into Pursuit Grabbing One Of His Male Friends In It's Tentacles And Throwing Him To The Side Splattering Him Over The Wall Leaving Red Blood Smearing The Wall.
"Get That Thing Out Of There!" One Of The Parents Yelled At The Event Planner, "Listen This Isn't Meant To Happen The Seeker Must've Malfunctioned And Screwed Up The Emergency Protocols, The Kids Won't Be Able To Escape!" He Yelled Arguing His Point. "I Can't Do Anything Until He Finds Them All... But That Means They'll All Die!" He Paused Breathing Heavily.
Meanwhile Back Down Below With David And His Friends, He Was Still Running Away From The Seeker. He Got To The Large Purple Door And Banged On It However No Use It Was Locked Shut Indefinitely. "Shit! We're Gonna Die... " He Shook His Head As The Monster Approached Them It's Body Was Now Covered In Gore, Blood Dripping From It's Face... Unfortunately It Wasn't It's Blood...
As The Creature Walked Over The Innocent Bodies It Leaned In Its Head Like If It Was Trying To Smell The Fear Of The Remaining Children. David Waited To The Right Moment To Run, As The Creature Started Charging Again He And His Remain Four Friends Jumped Out The Way Causing The Seeker To Run Into The Wall Leaving A Large Crack In The Wall. As Dust Fell Off The Tall Seekers Head The Monsters Eye Twitched In Anger.
However David And His Remaining Four Friends Hid Behind A Square Like Structure Which Kept Them Safe From The Seeker For Now Anyway. There Hairs Were On End And There Spine Tingled With Fear As They Heard The Monsters Tentacles Drag Across The Floor Loudly. As It Searched For Them Eagerly.
David Rested His Head Against The Cube Like Structure Figuring Out What To Do As Sweat Dripped Down His Face With Fear, But Then He Remembered A Similar Situation He Had Like This Before....
(A Flashback Sequence Ensues)
The Trees Of The Forest Were Tall And Imposing, Casting Long Shadows Across The Ground. Birds Chirped Merrily From Their Nests, And A Gentle Breeze Rustled The Leaves. The Sound Of Running Water Could Be Heard In The Distance, But The Atmosphere Was Quiet And Peaceful. The Sun Shone Through The Branches, Illuminating The Area In A Beautiful, Golden Light.
The Air Was Fresh And Crisp, And The Smell Of Moist Earth And Growing Plants Filled The Air. David Walked Along The Muddy Floor Along With Reuben And Kai (His Two Best Pals. "Hmm I Think This Would Be A Good Area To Make Our Base" David Chuckled With Nod As He Scanned Around The Ear, As They Carried On Walking Forward.
Reuben With A Large Stick In His Hand Caught A Glimpse Of A Bear Footprint Which Caused Him To Look With A Shocked Expression. "Uh Guys..." He Spoke As The Others Turned Around To See What Was The Issue. "What Is It Reuben?" David Asked With A Grunt But He Too Noticed The Footprint.
Then A Sudden Roar Was Heard As It Echoed Through The Forest, Then It Ran Into View Of The Boys The Large Brown Bear Reared Up As It Flashed It's Teeth Making Some Growls And Grunts Here And There. It Circled The Boys As All Their Skins Crawled With Fear, There Spines Shaking Like An Earthquake.
"I Think The Best Thing To Do Now Is... Run!" David Yelled As He Turned Around Along The With The Other Boys And Ran For It Dashing Off At A Fast Pace, As The Bear Gave Chase With It's Massive Size Creating Large Rustling Sounds As It Passed Through Bushes. The Boys Didn't Dare Look Back, As It Would Be Almost Like Staring At Death Itself.
As They Ran For Nearly Thirty Minutes They Came Across An Abandoned Camp, David Decided To Look Back And Noticed That They Gained Some Distance Away From The Monstrous Bear. "Right... We Need A Plan" David Scratched His Chin As He Looked At The Abandoned Camp Seeing What He Could Use At His Disposal.
However He Then Noticed A Floodlight Laying On The Ground Luckily It Was Connected Meaning It Could Be Used, He Figured Maybe Flashing The Bears Eyes Would Scare It Off. "Hey Guys Come Over Here!" He Gestured For Them To Come Closer They Looked Intrigued For The Plan He Was About To Unravel.
"Reuben You Distract And Lead The Bear Here Then Me And Kai Will Turn On The Floodlight" He Announced The Plan Which Caused Reuben To Go Pale In Fear. "Uh... Are You Sure?" He Gulped To Which David Responded By Handing Him Chocolate Coins Which Turned His Frown Into A Smile Instantly.
As The Bear Approached The Camp With It Sharp Teeth Flashed In Display However Then Reuben Popped Into View As He Started Screaming (Like An Idiot Mind You But It Was Worth It) The Massive Beast Then Charged At Him However Then Kai Gave A Signal As David Enabled The Floodlight, The Sudden Flash Of Light Caused The Effect To Be Like A Flashbang.
Which Caused The Bear To Run Away With A Stumble As It's Eyes Felt Like They Were On Fire, Leading The Bear To Run Into Random Trees As It Ran Off From The Abandoned Camp. The Boys Then All High Fived In Victory With Smiles And Cheers Of Glee.
"All In A Days Work Haha" David Chuckled...
(A Flashback Sequence Ends)
"Guys I Know What To Do" David Announced A Hint Of Fear Still Evident In His Voice, As The Remaining Children Looked At Him. "Kai And Reuben We Can Do The Same Plan That We Did With The Bear" He Nodded. "Huh? But There's No Floodlight This Time!" Kai Exclaimed With Pessimism.
"Well We Don't Particularly Need A Floodlight.... " David Winked As He Pointed To Spotlight Which Kept Turning Off And On Automatically However Beneath It Was A Red Switch. "Oh... I Understand" Kai Nodded Seemingly Overjoyed That They'll Finally Escape This Hell.
"I'll Do It" Reuben Stood Up He Realized He'd Be Bait Again But He Knew That It Was Right As It Would Help His Friends Escape This Mess. "B-But... Reuben That Thing It Will Kill You It's Faster Than A Brown Bear" David Argued With A Worried Expression.
To Which Reuben Responded By Placing A Hand On His Shoulder, "Don't Worry We've Made So Much Memories All Ready, Even I'd I Won't Be Here Physically I'll Be In You're Heart" Reuben Explained With A Smile. To Which Kai And David Nodded.
Reuben Then Ran Away From Behind The Square Structure The Monsters Eyes Instantly Locking On With A Roar Sounding Like The Scraping Of Metal It Gave Chase As Kai And David Ran Towards The Red Switch. The Monster Flailed It's Tentacles Angrily Trying To Catch Reuben.
"Catch Me If You Can Ugly!" He Yelled Before Dodging The Monsters Tentacle Again. However Before He Could Notice He Tripped Over One Of His Friend's Corpse Causing Him To Face Plant Into The Ground. "Ouch... Dammit" He Wiped His Face In Pain As He Turned He Was Met With A Horrific Sight.
The Monster Stood Over Him With Its Eyes Red An Aura Of Malevolence Surrounding It As It's Head Tilted Almost Examining The Best Way To Kill Him. Suddenly Tentacles Wrapped Around His Body Picking Him Up With Ease As He Was Brought Face To Face With Monstrous Beast.
"It's Been A Good Run I Guess" He Gasped For Breath As Another Wrapped Around His Neck Breaking His Windpipe With Ease Limiting His Voice. David Noticed This From Afar And Pulled The Giant Red Switch With The Help From Kai, The Spotlight Instantly Turned On With A Large Flash Breaking The Monsters Animatronic Eyes Like Glass Shattering.
The Monster Dropped Reuben Onto The Ground As It Stumbled Backwards And Forwards Before Finally Collapsing Onto The Ground With A Loud Thud. The Monster Was Finally Beaten As It's Entire Shut Down Going Into Deactivation Mode.
David And Kai Quickly Rushed To Reubens Aid But It Was Too Late As Reubens Neck Was Broken He Could Still Move His Eyes And Hands However It Was Obvious That He Didn't Have A lot Of Time. David Kneeled Down Placing Reuben In His Arms.
"I'm Sorry... I'm Sorry For Isolating Myself From You And My Other Friends For So Long Please Forgive Me!" He Croaked In Tears His Voice In Utter Sorrow. Reuben Moved His Hand And Placed A Paper In David's Hand. Then He Closed His Eyes To Which David Quickly Opened The Folded Paper.
He Then Proceeded To Read It Out Loud, "It's Fine, David I'm Just Glad We Made So Much Memories, At Least I'll Be In You're Heart" David Read With Sorrow And Regret. The Purple Doors Then Opened As The Parents Rushed Into Collect There Children But Where Met To A Horrific Massacre Instead.
David's Mom Kneeled Down In Front Of Him And Hugged Him Instantly "I'm Glad You're Safe My Boy" She Cried Into His Shoulder. David Looked At Her Feeling Glad That The Entire Terrifying Situation Was Over At Last....
