Once I'm changed and have stuffed the new clothes into my inventory we head into the built-in McDonald's. I get a Big Mac meal with a Coke and Eve get's a McChicken meal with Fruitopia. It could be my imagination, but it feels like a lot of people have been staring at me since I entered the store. It's making me rather uncomfortable. It's probably something I'm gonna have to get used to though, people pay more attention to you if you're attractive after all.

After saying this we throw away our garbage and head back to my car. The next thing is new shoes. Since the transformation my old ones don't fit anymore. When we pull into the parking lot outside the apartment building I notice something that doesn't seem quite right. Closing the window I rush over to his apartment turning the knob the door opens. Guess he hasn't had time to lock the door yet, good that means she's still safe. Once I'm inside the door my [Danger Sense] goes off so he must know that he's been caught and is getting ready to deal with me.
I rush up the stairs two steps at a time and see the bastard exiting his bedroom. I don't slow down as I reach the top of the stairs and slam him into a wall. I barely saw the baseball bat as it swung before hitting me in the side of the head. I hit the floor in a dizzying blur of pain. My fist connects with his jaw and he falls to the floor. This time, I manage to get to him before he can react. I begin hitting him over and over again until I'm sure that he is no longer conscious.
After he's beaten into unconsciousness and my adrenaline subsides all of the pain that was being suppressed comes crashing into me like a freight train. Most noticeably from my head and hip. With a grunt of pain I remove the knife that was lodged in my hip. God that hurts. Once the pain subsides I check the windows that popped up after the fight.

Looking down at the bloodied figure of the man at my feet I knew what must be done. I knew this would happen eventually, but it's not going to make this any easier to stomach. Lord Mephistopheles needs souls or else my deal will be terminated. It might not be my place to judge, but someone like him doesn't deserve to live anyway. Someone who only brings pain to others, just like my father.
After mentally preparing myself I get down on my knees, place a hand on his chest, and activate [Energy Harvesting], draining all of his life force and converting it into mana. As his life slipped away something horrible happened. I realized that I was enjoying draining the life out of him. This terrified me causing me to stop, but he was already dead.
Killing him wasn't the problem, I prepared myself for that, but there's no reason I should've enjoyed it. Did forming the contract taint my soul? Did I always have this darkness inside me? I'm not sure what to think, but here and now I'm going to make a vow to whatever god gave me this ability. The darkness will not win. I refuse to become a monster filled with evil. After declaring that inside my heart I realize that a new window had opened up.

Besides I don't think the angels would be to happy with me if I use to much demonic magic here on earth. It can corrupt the environment if to much is used after all which would violate the terms of the deal made between Heaven and Hell regarding earth. Neither side is allowed to cause any noticeable changes to your world."
"Will I get in trouble then? After all I did make a deal with a demon lord to get my magic. So it's demonic in nature right?"
"No, you're fine. All master did was unlock an ability that all humans are born with."
"So it would've been possible for me to learn magic without making the deal. Wish I knew that before. Not a big loss though, I get to have you keeping me company after all."

Naturally I click accept. The first thing that needs to be done is dealing with the body. I've got an idea, just hope it works. I open my inventory and click on the store item option. This let's me put stuff into my inventory by touching it. I touch Andrew's corpse and a window pops up.

Okay good it works. After grabbing the key from his pocket. I click accept and his body disappears. Major problem number one dealt with next, what to do about the woman. Once she's settled onto my bed I ask Eve to let me know when she wakes up before moving some cleaning supplies into my inventory then heading back to Andrew's apartment.
Thanks to the skills I've gained from my job and the [Fast Cleaning] perk. I manage to get rid of the mess in about fifteen minutes. Once I'm sure that everything is clean I exit the apartment making sure to wipe off the door knob on the way out. After locking the door I wipe off the outside door knob. Once that's done a couple of windows pop up.

Sweet I didn't even know it was going to have that synergy. That's pretty awesome and definitely something to think about for future perks. I've already got a few ideas about what to do with my mana, but I think it's better to put that off until I've dealt with this last situation. With that thought I go back to watching the young woman sleeping in my bed.

At this point I can see that the fear is gone, however she's still remaining cautious. I can't blame her given the fact that she just woke up in a strange man's apartment.

The first two don't cost very much, only totaling around one hundred mana combined, but they are definitely important. The third one though cost around two hundred by itself. I immediately spend ten MP to reduce my fertility to zero. With that taken care of I start cleaning myself off. Once I'm finished showering and all dried off I remove some of the new clothing from my inventory and put them on. Once I'm fully dressed I exit the bathroom and get a huge surprise.
Julia is talking to Eve who for some reason has returned to her real form. There I am standing just outside the bathroom, frozen in place, dumbfounded about what happened while I was showering. What could've possibly lead to this situation. Not only is Eve in demon form, but it doesn't seem to be bothering Julia at all. I honestly cannot fathom how this came to be. While I'm standing there slack jawed and stupid Julia says.
"Okay if you don't mind I want to have a shower too before we have our fun. I positively reek of alcohol and I'm sure Eve will fill you in on what happened while you were showering."
Okay is all that I manage to say, to stupefied to say anything else. I step out of the way allowing her into the bathroom. Once the door closes bringing me back to reality I walk over to Eve and ask.
"What in the world did I miss?"
"Okay to help you better understand I'll need to explain something to you first."
After saying this she pats the spot on the couch beside her. I comply and sit down next to her.
"Okay, I told you before about how all humans have the capacity for magic. Well, some people have a higher affinity than others. For example her affinity is rather high and yours is about average."

"Now of course just because someone has an affinity doesn't mean they are going to be a mage. However it does make it easier for them to absorb the energies around them. Usually this doesn't really amount to anything, but she is a hospice nurse. Being around that much death has given her a greater connection to the supernatural than normal."

After tinkering with the settings my final design is; health, magic, stamina and experience bars in the top left of my view, below that covering the left hand side is info about my party members and I kept the activities log in the bottom left. On the bottom is going to be for active buffs. The bottom right for ammunition in case I decide to use guns or something. The right hand side is going to be for tracking active quests and above that in the top right is a mini map. Across the top is a compass that will have quest markers and what not like in Skyrim. Lastly health bars will appear over the heads of people that are considered enemies. I'm not entirely sure how it determines who my enemies are though.
Adding the HUD cost me sixty-two mana. I decide just for shits and giggles to give myself a victory theme. The fanfare from Final Fantasy VI my personal favorite of the series should do nicely. This cost me another five mana. Next I decide to buy ten ranks of the [Analyze] ability. Ten seems to be the soft cap for the ability because after rank ten it stops giving new benefits and basically just increases the level difference where it can gain information on a target. All together that cost me around one thousand mana. Next I need some kind of offensive magic. Looking over dozens of different spells made me realize what I'd rather have then some specific spell is the ability to manipulate mana itself then I could use that to form my own abilities.
Sure the type of spells that can be made from something like this are limited, but it's better than just getting a single spell. Finally I found an ability that is just that, the ability to manipulate mana. I also grab an ability to sense mana, seemed like it could be useful. Getting those abilities cost me a whopping two thousand and sixteen mana, mostly because of [Mana Manipulation]. My new abilities are.

This ability makes it so that you can sense the flow of mana in the environment and from other beings. This allows you to tell if magic is being used or has been used recently among other things.]
[Mana Manipulation Active Rank 1
This ability allows you to manipulate mana and bend it to your will. By condensing mana it is able to effect the physical world in various ways. It is also possible to absorb mana within yourself in order to temporarily boost your own capabilities. As your rank increases you gain greater control over mana giving you increased effectiveness and efficiency.
