Whatever his actual feelings and thoughts were, he suppressed them. Perhaps because they were in public now.
Or perhaps it was just a normal part about being around them, and she'd been too groggy and too far away from him to notice it when they'd arrived at breakfast the other day.
She grabbed his hand.
"Lyov." She murmured.
"I'm fine." He nodded, giving a small squeeze to her fingers. He looked over at her, his green eyes crinkling. "Don't worry."
She frowned back at him a moment, before she finally responded. Only a murmur, to preserve the privacy of it. "You don't have to be."
