The moment she smelled the aroma of the delicious food being carried into the dining hall she inhaled deeply, closing her eyes as she let the rich, sweet smell wash over her. Sweet and savory. Warm.

The scent made her stomach rumble angrily and she whimpered softly at the feeling, hoping no one would hear her. She knew it wouldn't do to beg. Her husbands would only tease her for it.
She'd said they didn't need to bring a chef...but if this wasn't a chef, then they were still going awfully all-out. Maybe it was simply because they hadn't had any guests in so long they couldn't help but show off.
Snowball pawed at her thigh suddenly, and started to mew urgently, his cute little kitten voice pitched up high. He stared intently at the plates being set up at the long dining table, sniffing at the air.
It smelt tasty even to her human nose...
