Chereads / Till Death Do Us Part Or Not? / Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 1

Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 1

Zander!"

Ugh!

"What is it Reina? " Zander asked with a frown. She was starting to irritate him.

Reina was the lady he went to whenever he needed someone to have sex with. He had meant for her to be a one night stand but then the sex had been so good, and he had wanted to reduce his chances of getting an STD so he ended up giving her his number, just so they could hook up anytime they were both free. He wasn't interested in having a relationship with her but then she was very determined in trying to make them an item.

She had constantly been visiting him after their first night together, and each visit ended with intense sex. She would cook, clean and then they'd have sex. He was a man who loved a good fuck every once in a while.. so who was he to reject a free ride? And if it came with a free chef and housekeeper then even better.

Zander wasn't the type to pretend or lie to get under a woman's skirt. He couldn't be accused of leading her on or giving her false hope.

He stayed with her for the sex and he let her know just that. There wasn't ever going to be a future between the both of them. Not now, not ever.

But she probably didn't care about her self respect enough accept the fact and just give up.

And that was what he disliked about her. She was just too desperate for him. Even if the feeling wasn't reciprocated she kept on pressing him to ask her out. Even going to the extent of tattooing his name on her wrist.

That was pure desperation and obsession at it's peak.

"Zander! Zander!! Are you even listening to me?"

He let out an exasperated sigh and looked into her eyes. " I hear you clear Reina. You don't have to yell you know."

He picked his drink from the table, leaned back into his chair and took a long sip.

"Why do you sound like that? All I'm asking is that you give us a chance. You don't have to sound so irritated."

Zander placed his drink back on the table, took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

He was trying to keep his temper in check. And at this point it was quite difficult to hide his disgust.

"Well I am irritated. And why is that?" He asked rhetorically.

Without giving her the chance to say a word he continued. "It's because we've gone through this a million times. It's never happening."

"Why though?" She asked reaching to hold his hand that was resting on the table. "I mean, we've been having a good time. The sex is good. Everything is perfect. What else do you want?" She stroked his hand gently her eyes pleading.

Zander pulled his hand away and rubbed his forehead seemingly tired.

"A lady who isn't so thick skinned." He didn't know when the words flew out of his mouth, but he didn't regret it either.

"I mean, I said no a million times already. Don't you get it?"

He couldn't just hold it in anymore. He was tired of her bugging him about the same thing every single time.

All he wanted was to have a good time. Why couldn't she just understand?

Reina looked at him like he had just punched her in the face.

" Really? Is that how you see it? All I did was fall in love with you."

"Reina.." he started but she cut him off with a raised hand.

"I mean we've been having steady sex for over three months now. We've been nice to each other. What's wrong if I want more?"

Zander looked at her not knowing what answer to give.

He couldn't continue this anymore. Yeah the sex was good but he wouldn't let a woman tie him down just for sex.

"There's nothing wrong with you wanting more Reina" he answered calmly then continued. "You just want more with the wrong person."

He took in a deep breath knowing what he was about to do wouldn't go down so well. It never did.

"And since I can't give you the more you need.."

Reina's eyes popped up. She knew what was coming next and her look was instantly pleading. "Don't say it."

Her eyes were beginning to well up. She knew what to expect since he had warned her severally and she wished she hadn't pushed so much. She'd rather have some part of him that not have him at all. She just couldn't help that she wanted more. To have him all to herself.

" Let's not see each other anymore." He finished looking away from her now tear stained face.

She reached out for his hand that rested on the table in an attempt to beg him to change his mind but he quickly pulled it back.

"Don't call my phone anymore and I don't want you visiting my house either."

She stared blankly at him. She seemed to be in denial.

"What we had was fun." He said as picked his wallet and phone. "Don't worry about the bill. I'll clear it on my way out." With that he stood up and left her there crying uncontrollably.
