I didn't want to believe my ears; my whole system felt numb upon hearing the word "strip". The thought of what I have been trying to avert came striking hard at me.
I raised my head to look at him, forgetting the goddamn rules. I was about to open my mouth to plead with him when I heard him cut me off with "get out". That made me calm a little bit.
I quickly scurried out of his room without thinking twice. I walked hastily and immediately locked the door from the back after getting to my chamber. That was a narrow escape. I thought.
I wish I didn't get to see him anytime soon. Being molested is the last feeling I'd want to experience. I've been sitting on my bed still feeling perturbed about the incident that happened earlier when I heard a knock on my door.
I went for it and was surprised to see the so-called face. It's her—the lady who slapped me.
"Why's she here?" I thought in my head. She glared at me, while I glared right back at her.
"Follow me," she said.
"Where exactly?" I asked.
"How dare you mere mundane question me?" She snapped, bringing her fang out in the process.
There, I realize she's a vampire. I moved back a bit, trying to avoid what she was about to do.
"I don't have the right to feed on you, fool," she snapped again. "Now follow me and stop asking stupid questions," she added.
I didn't think twice before following her this time around. I've come to realize that I don't stand a chance when it comes to these suckers.
After taking a few tours, we finally stopped at the front of what seemed like her door. She opened the door while I followed behind.
"I want you to clean this room before I'm out of the bathroom," she commanded.
"Did the Lord order you to do this?" I asked her.
"No, he didn't, but I also have the right to order you around, bitch!" She yelled and entered the bathroom, slamming the door hard.
Now she's making my life harder too. I thought as I began to arrange her room.
Her room's so messed up, and I couldn't finish arranging them before she was done bathing.
"Didn't I ask you to be done before?" She muttered angrily, and she slapped me hard on the cheek again.
I've been trying hard to be cool because she's a vampire. No human dare try this shit with me. I thought in my head. I held my cheek and reached for the door.
"Where the fuck are you going?" She yelled again.
"I can hear the Lord calling me in my head," I lied, not knowing where the thoughts came from.
She glared really hard at me before finally asking me to leave. Only God knows what she was thinking. This so-called vampire needs to be really taught a lesson! "But just how am I supposed to do that?" I thought in my head while heading back to my room.
I got to my room, and to my surprise, I met a girl with reddish brown hair and a pair of hazel eyes sitting on my bed.
"Where have you been, and what took you so long? You shouldn't go roaming around on your own, you know? I'm Daisy." She finally said she was smiling while deliberately flashing me her fangs in the process.
I guess she really wants me to know she's a vamp. This place is really filled with lunatic vampires. I thought in my head while I was still standing close to the door.
"Come closer; I don't bite," she muttered, grinning.
"You know we're now friends, right?" She asked.
"Friends?" I said it out loud to her. This vamp must really be sick upstairs because who the hell approved our friendship? I thought in my mind.
"One of the last things I'd do is befriend a vampire," I said to her loudly and clearly.
"You don't have a choice, hot blonde," I heard her say.
"Come sit here now and tell me some things about you while I return the favor. Maybe by then, you'd lose your guard a little with me." She said.
"Trust me, I can't bring myself to tell you things about me; I'm very uncomfortable around you guys." I said to her:
She smiled after hearing this, and then, in a flash, she came to meet me at the door, and I found myself sitting right on the bed with her in a blink of an eye. She just showed off her powers to me; she just used their vanishing technique.
"Look at my hot eyes; you don't have to be afraid of me. I know all you've been through in your life, but it's such a pity I don't really have what it takes to give you your freedom. It's okay if you're scared of other vampires. But trust me, I mean no harm." She muttered.
For a moment, I felt connected to her. I don't know if it's what came out of her mouth; I just feel this spark of being connected to her inside me, which really made me want to pour out all that's in my mind to her. I wonder what she meant by "she knows all I've been through, by the way ". I thought curiously.
"I'm Tracy Salvador." I told her my name.
"Wow! That's a pretty cool name for a daring ass like you," she said, smiling.
Her response almost got me laughing, but I restricted myself. Now I see she must really know what I've been through, like she claimed.
"What a psychopath," I thought unconsciously, letting out a slight laugh.
"You don't have to put on a serious look all the time. You would soon be free around me and start laughing with me, trust me. Besides, I'm not him," she said, whispering "him" in my ear. Which made me laugh slightly again.
"Don't you fear him?" I asked her, whispering the last part—"him"—into her ear too. She burst into creepy laughter on hearing that.
"I do fear him, but not as much as you do." She replied, winking at me.
"Okay! Enough about me. So Daisy, tell me some things about you too." I demanded of her.
"Com'on, hot eyes, you only told me your name," she muttered, furrowing her brows.
"And I guess that's the only thing you didn't know about me," I replied.
"No, it's not, but that's also cool enough to know for now," she replied and proceeded to tell me about herself.
It's so funny how she's telling me almost everything concerning her while I only told her about my name. Well, it's not like I don't want to tell her more than my name. It's just that I can't bring myself to start sharing sad things that make me wary of her presence.
"Lastly, I appear and disappear in this underworld. Like I said, I'm now working as a spy. It's so sad you won't get to see my frequently hot eyes. Although I'd let you know before taking my leave, as my friend," She said the last part in a funny way, which left a smile on my cheeks.
"So have you had anything yet?" She asked.
"I feel hungry now," I told her.
"I'll send you Lauretha. Take care for now," she said, smiling and aiming for the door.
After seeing no sight of her, I adjusted myself and laid on my ba
ck in bed, facing the ceiling. Maybe I was literally wrong about all vampires. I muttered to myself.
