'If I can just overcome the blast of information, this'll be perfect.'
David had hopped off the bed, and was looking at his surroundings. The structures that had seemed so straightforward to him, had changed.
He had glimpsed the shape of these things beyond what he could see, or even gain from touching them himself.
'Take this for example.' David ran his hand over the wooden bedframe, that seemed like one smooth surface. But now he knew, that on a deeper level, the wood was made of tiny fibres all held together with a web.
There was a flash as David drew his sword, holding it over the bedframe.
For a swordsman, one's form and strength was deeply important.
But just as important, was knowing where to cut.
At the most basic level, it was knowing what parts of your opponent to cut, their weak pots. Avoiding the tough bone that might cause one's blade to glance away, and aiming for the places where one's sword would slice clean through.
