David was apprehensive at first, not sure if Marek was still trying to much him around.
But the relaxed smile on Marek's face made it clear, and so David paused.
"Don't just stand there! Tell me!" Marek called out.
"I can feel the brisk wind coming from behind me."
"And!"
"The subtle warmth of the sun from behind the clouds."
"And!"
"I can feel the firm deck beneath my feet."
"Pay more attention to that, there's something different about standing on that deck!" David had now closed his eyes, and he could hear the smile in Marek's voice.
For a long while, David was silent. Was Marek referring to the fact that he was standing on metal rather than soil?
No, that couldn't be it. That wouldn't explain the strange movements. Then, it finally dawned on him.
"I can feel the ocean, surging beneath the ship." After being aboard for so long, he'd become accustomed to the constant rocking motion.
