A diamond shaped head had risen from the ocean, David watched in horror as it rose up towards the sky, thick streams of water running off of its shining green scales.
A pair of malevolent yellow eyes glared down at the Pelican's Wife, though the ship was massive, it was nothing compared to the enormous sea serpent.
Thick black spikes jutted out of its head, forming a sort of crown, and a fins ran down its entire length, the skin between them a bright red color.
The serpent opened its mouth, revealing a jaw filled with gleaming white fangs, each one of them would easily dwarf David were he to stand next to them.
David ducked as the serpent let out another shriek, a rush of warm air washing over David, the shockwaves from the shriek causing his ears to ring.
Even at this distance, David could smell the serpents breath, it was perhaps one of the most disgusting smells he'd come across. A strong fishy odor, combing with the smell of rotting flesh.
