For a moment, David took in the creature facing him. Even though the audience clearly didn't take it seriously, he had learnt the hard way, that he should never underestimate an opponent.
In the light, David could see scars covering every inch of the creatures body. They were a lighter, more pale color than the rest of its body, some where more faded than others. But every inch of the creature was scarred.
These scars were all testament that this creature had been through countless battles, and survived.
But the crowd still jeered, because even though a warrior stood before them, it was an imp. The lowest of the low, weakest out of all the demons.
Though they were more powerful than your average human, they would treated like dirt by other demons, and this attitude persisted even among other races.
