Meanwhile, his hands closed around his daggers, and he gripped them tight, his eyes judging the angle to throw his daggers so they would reach Cassia, without bouncing off the many protrusions around the throne.

David's cloak flapped open, and in unison, all of his daggers went flying at Cassia, black blurs speeding through the air.
The daggers were all positioned perfectly, so that each one would strike at a vital point, aiming for the eyes, throat, joints and vital organs.
"A vicious one, aren't you." Cassia smiled as soon as David threw the daggers, already predicting the trajectory.
David watched intently as soon as he threw the blades, waiting for Cassia to respond. But she did nothing. She didn't even flinch.
Her hands continued to rest on her spear, a faint smile on her face.
