"Misu. Out." Cassia's face turned serious, and immediately, Misu rushed out.
The gentle crisp breeze that David had felt had totally disappeared, and the air within the throne room was totally still, like the calm before a storm.
Behind David the enormous doors to the throne room swung shut silently, the light within dimming.
Silent, Cassia's stern face stared down at David. A storm brewing in her eyes.
Finally, she spoke.
"Why?" One word was all she said, without even a hint of expression on her face.
Standing there, David was filled with unease. To be standing before one of the seven great heroes, whilst she looked at him so coldly, he had to pick his next words carefully.
Part of David regretted even asking about Divinity, but that part of him was quickly silence. Sure, it had been a risk, but without risking anything, he would gain nothing.
