"What!" David started to come to his feet, his face filled with betrayal. Did Johann mean to set him up to be killed by the Golden Wolves? Could he even trust this man?
"Easy! Settle down David!" Johann waved his hands and guided David to sit back down.
"Listen. The Golden Wolves have agreed to battle you according to the rules of the arena."
"This means that they can only send out a fighter with a maximum of a Red Core."
"They've also agreed that this will be the end of it all. It will be announced before and after your battle that any grudge between you and the wolves will be settled."
"They might be arrogant and selfish, but they aren't idiots. Going against such a public announcement would be foolish."
"Do you understand?" One of Johann's reddish eyebrows was raised and he had leaned back on the stool. Even though he was sat on a a rickety little wooden stool, he posed as though he was on a throne.
