David narrowed his eyes, his hand tightened on the practice sword in his hands.
"On one condition." He could tell that Johann was far more skilled than he could imagine, but he couldn't let him get away with the things he had said.
He glared at Johann, the swordmaster's expression no longer had the taunting smirk it had before, but there was a half smile on his handsome face.
"Apologise." Stabbing the practice sword into the ground in front of him, as if in challenge, David crossed his arms.
Johann raised one of his thin reddish eyebrows, then he spoke.
"Apologise for what? Did I hurt your pride, so badly?"
David's face fell even further, surely Johann wasn't going to deny what he had said.
"No. Take back what you said, about me being taught by a baboon."
"Hahahahahahahhaha!" The swordmaster burst into laughter, but quickly composed himself.
