It merely took a bit longer for Shye to kill the other heroes, as they realized it was futile to try and follow his movements.
In response, they preemptively used their defensive items and skills, praying fervently they could block his next attacks and be granted a chance to counterattack by the grace of the gods and goddesses.
The skills and items did indeed help them survive for quite a while.
However, they were still slaughtered helplessly in the end.
Only the archer hero, Skadi Lozano of the Frozen Impalement, managed to fight back against Shye—though he didn't last more than twenty seconds before being killed, just the same.
Shye's surpassing of the human body's limits in agility was bad enough, but what truly sealed their fates was the lethal combination of his otherworldly strength, intelligence beyond comprehension, and agility that transcended human capabilities.
