Meanwhile, at the Hawkin Mansion, Primo stood in front of his father with a grim expression.
"Lord Father, the connection with Fourth Hawkling has been severed..." the eldest son reported.
His words, however, were met with the coldest of responses:
"And?" the old man asked.
Primo's heart grew frigid upon hearing his father's reply.
In the early stages of their lives, he and Fourth Hawkling—whose name was Fia—along with a few of their other half-siblings, were periodically checked on by their father.
Dweezel Hawkins was world-renowned and a busy man.
Yet, he still made time for them, ensuring their training progressed smoothly and that they got along with one another.
It was far from the warmth of a true family, but it was, by far, the warmest of times in Primo's life.
Sadly, as they grew older, the visits from their father became less and less frequent.
