*BANG*
Dean Greendale, the dean responsible for this year's Shadowglade representatives slammed the armrest of his chair in anger.
At this rate, they would be humiliated by their rivals but unfortunately for them, it seemed that this generation of students from Colzen Academy was very strong.
The dean racked his brains hard before finally managing to think of something to win the next match but he knew that this plan wouldn't be enough to change the tides of the match so he looked around in hopes of finding something that could help him.
He even thought of using illegal pills to boost one's strength just to prolong the match.
"Tch! If only we can get to the substitute representative match…"
While he was thinking of a solution, Dean Greendale tapped a button on the microphone beside him which allowed him to communicate to the representatives.
"Genzo, change of plans, go and participate in the two-on-two battle. We can't allow them to win this easily"
Dean Greendale said to the strongest Shadowglade representative named Genzo.
"I understand, Dean Greendale. However, what should we do about the three-on-three battle? I doubt that we would be able to win if things continue this way"
Genzo replied
"Just wait for my orders, I'll think of something before your match ends. Make sure to buy lots of time for me and don't forget to humiliate your opponents if you get the chance."
"If I can't reach out to you before your match ends, order the guys who will participate in the three-on-three battle to consume the booster pills."
Dean Greendale said with a cold look on his face.
"Got it"
*BLEEP*
Genzo replied before cutting his call with Dean Greendale. He then walked towards the stage to participate in the two-on-two match.
On the other hand, Dean Snowcrest furrowed his brow upon seeing that the guy named Genzo, who everyone knew was the strongest representative of Shadowglade Academy, participated in the two-on-two match.
He understood that the Shadowglade Academy couldn't risk losing the third match but at least they had a chance to turn things around if they managed to win in the two-on-two match without using Genzo.
If things continue like this, then even if Shadowglade Academy wins the third match, they will get destroyed in the three-on-three battle without their strongest representative, Genzo.
However, things were advantageous for them this way so Dean Snowcrest simply waited for their victory.
Meanwhile, the Colzen Representative from Colzen Monastery, Fazzio Nieva, left for a short while to go to the toilet before participating in the three-on-three match.
Unfortunately for him, Dean Greendale saw him leave and immediately whispered something to one of his instructors who then left to act on the dean's orders.
…
…
…
"AGHH!"
The Colzen representatives groaned in pain after being blasted to the edge of the stage by Genzo who smiled playfully while taking his time to humiliate the two.
By this time, Shye was clenching his fists in anger.
Ren had a chance to kill one of the Shadowglade representatives but chose to strike his opponent in a slightly less vital spot because he didn't want to kill someone due to some petty rivalry.
Unfortunately, it seems that Shadowglade Academy was very petty and wanted to take revenge even on the smallest things so they were humiliating the two Colzen representatives on purpose.
However, Genzo didn't actually want to humiliate the two Colzen representatives. He was only acting on Dean Greendale's orders and buying time for him to think of a solution.
Fortunately, he didn't have to continue with the ruthless humiliation as the speaker on the collar of his uniform rang.
"Go, finish them, I already have a solution."
After hearing the dean's orders, Genzo inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.
He didn't want to continue humiliating the Colzen representatives for a long time under the eyes of professional adventurers because they might think that he was an evil person which might ruin his reputation and his chances of joining a reputable adventurer guild when the truth was, it was Dean Greendale who was evil and petty.
*BANG*
The two Colzen representatives were blasted off the stage and the two-on-two match ended with Shadowglade Academy as the victor.
Although he was a bit angry due to the humiliation suffered by two of his students, Dean Snowcrest didn't feel too bad about this loss.
The Shadowglade Academy already used their ace, Genzo, to win in the third match and they had no hope of winning the fourth match because of it.
While waiting for the fourth match to start, Dean Snowcrest noticed while watching on the screen that the Colzen representatives seemed jittery so he pressed the button on the microphone in the Colzen Academy station to talk with Shin Fernandez, their ace representative.
*BLEEP*
"Shin, what's wrong?"
Dean Snowcrest asked with a slightly anxious tone.
"Dean, Fazzio mentioned he only went to the restroom, but we got concerned when he didn't return for a while so we decided to check on him in the toilet."
"H-He wasn't there and we couldn't contact him at all!"
Shin said with an anxious voice.
*BANG*
This time, it was Dean Snowcrest who slammed the armrest of his chair in anger.
"Despicable!!"
He already knew that this was Greendale's plot and although he knew that Fazzio would be safe, it would be impossible for him to participate in the three-on-three match.
After hearing the dean's angry voice, Shin knew that they didn't have a chance to fight together with Fazzio anymore.
In addition to this, even if they choose Ren Beckmann as the representative who would fight twice, they would still need someone to fight in Fazzio's place but all the other representatives have already fought at least once except for one person.
"D-Dean, what should we do?"
Shin started panicking because the match would start in a minute and the Dean still hadn't given him any instructions.
After realizing that Shin was already panicking due to his indecisiveness, Dean Snowcrest took a deep breath before deciding to risk it all on a crazy decision.
"Crowley will take Fazzio's place and participate in the three-on-three match!"
