The days went by, and Suga didn't come out of his office. I could hear him working on something but I don't know what. I worried for him. I was still cooking and cleaning for him. I would just leave the food by his door and not pressure him. He didn't kick me out or anything. I was grateful, though. The day of the party came, and Soobin maids came to help out decorating.
"Yeji, I'm worried about Suga."
"Don't worry. He'll come out. Suga would never miss my birthday." She said, very confident.
I put my trust in her words.
"You know. You aren't a maid anymore. You don't have to wear that uniform."
"I'm just wearing it just in case Soobin shows up."
"Soobin can't say anything anymore."
"I actually feel better like this. I'm here to help anyways. You should finish getting ready. We got this."
She left and I was left alone with my thoughts again. I wanted to talk to Suga about me staying here with him. I didn't want to go back but then I changed my mind. I saw him come out his room in a really nice fancy suit that he didn't even notice me when he walked out. People began to fill up the room and I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was smiling like nothing happened and laughing with others. I was in shock that I didn't even notice Robert in the same room as me. My heart dropped to see who invited him and my mother. That's when I saw my lawyer wave hi to me. I bit the inside of my lip as I should have told her not to tell them but it was to late. I didn't want them to know the exact location to the place.
Robert grabbed me by the arm and pulled me where there was less people. My mother followed which gave me more peace.
"This is a night to celebrate that you were falsely accused of something you didn't do." She shouted.
I squinted my eyes at her to get a better look at her. "Mom? Have you been drinking already?!"
Music was playing to loud that I could bearly even hear anything she said. Alcohol was the only thing that was being served and there was plenty of it. I saw Robert give her another drink and I rolled my eyes.
I smacked Robert hand. "Stop it! You're getting her drunk at someone else's house."
"Who cares?! He's nothing to you now. You can do whatever you want."
I rolled my eyes and looked for Suga. I quickly spotted him as the spotlight shined on him and Yeji as he was putting a necklace around her neck.
"Where's the bathroom?" Robert shouted in my ear.
"Just go upstairs?"
"What?"
"Upstairs."
"WHAT?!"
I rolled my eyes again and said "Mom can you take him to th-"
I saw my mom go after someone that was carrying alcohol and disappearing in the crowd.
Robert pulled me towards the stairs.
"Stop. What are you doing?!"
"Just show me where the bathroom is!"
I pulled my hand away and hissed. I headed upstairs and looked down one more time at them. They looked like they were about to dance together.
"Who's room is this?" He asked.
"Suga's. Now, come on." I said but he didn't listen like always. Robert went into his room and I panicked.
"Robert get out! Someone is going to tell Suga. He doesn't like anybody coming in here." I said as I looked around for people.
Robert gasped. "Wow! This must be a nice place to-." He made an inappropriate hand gesture.
"Get out."
"Come here." He sat on Suga bed.
"Please, Robert. You're going to get us in trouble."
"I will once you come here."
I sighed and went to go get him. I tried to pull him up but he wouldn't do it. "Let's go!"
"I like it when you get like that." Robert said.
"Let's-"
He took something out of his pocket.
"What is that?" I said disgusted.
"A toy. If you let me put this in. I'll leave."
"You're fukin crazy!" I shouted at him.
He laughed. "Hmmm. What should I break in here?" He questioned me.
I stayed silent and he smirked. He pulled me close to him.
"Open up." He ordered.
I slowly did and he put it in. He took out the remote that went with it and turned it on.
"Alright, let's go."
"What?"
"We can't stay in his room." Robert smirked as he said.
We left the room and he said. "You better stay close. If not I'll make you regret it."
"I have to help out."
"Okay, you'll know I'm near by."
I furrowed my eyebrows and that's when he turned it up a level.
"Stop."
He just smiled and left. I rolled my eyes and a maid came.
"Aponi! I need help."
"Coming!" I said as I rushed downstairs with her into the kitchen.
"Here wash these dishes. We will need lots of them for the cake. I need to go get some silverware. I'll be back."
"Okay." I said. I began to wash the dishes and looked around.
I had finished around 25 plates when I felt him nearer. I gulped as I squeezed my thighs against each other.
"Hey!" Suga came from behind. I quickly looked back at him and gasped.
"Are you done? There about to take out the cake."
"I'm t-trying." I tried to catch my breath.
He turned me around and examined me.
"What is that noise?"
I knew he was looking at us now as I collapsed on the floor and twitched. Suga looked down at me and Robert showed up.
He pulled me up by the arm and I pulled away.
"Stop." I ordered him.
"We're leaving." He said as he began to pull me with him.
Suga grabbed my other arm.
"I don't think she wants to leave with you."
"Aponi, let's go. Your mother is really drunk already and I'm sure he needs to celebrate with his new girlfriend."
"What girlfriend?"
"That red head girl."
"Yeji?" I questioned him and looked back at Suga.
"Ah Aponi! I'm back. I got some plates too. You don't have to do that anymore." The maid came into the kitchen smiling.
Suga and Robert let go of me. I smiled and said. "I'm leaving already. My mother needs me. Thank you so much."
"No, thank you for helping." She smiled.
Yeji came in. "Ah, Aponi! Your mom is outside vomiting. I think you should take her home. I'm not kidding."
"Oh, yes! Thank you. It was nice meeting you and congratulations."
She squeezed Suga's arm and smiled. "Thank you! Take care!"
I took one last look at him but he wasn't smiling. I tried to hide the fact that I was lying and not feeling upset. Robert grabbed my hand, and we left. I got in the back of the car, and I couldn't hold in the tears anymore. "Why do I even care?" I thought. Eventually, I got mad at myself when we got home.
