Chapter 1 - The interview appointment

Felix leaned forward and bent his head to Eliza's ear and blew on it before whispering lightly and seductively.

"Just one thing." He whispered and she bit on her lip, wishing he would just stop it and move away.

"Please …" Her voice sounded strange and that was when Felix discovered her ear was very sensitive, so he decided to use this to pressure her.

"Will you be my model?" He requested but she shook her head.

"Why? I don't want to." She declined without a second thought.

"You have to. You're the only one who's worth it." Felix said.

"I want… " she shut her eyes, trying to fight his sexy low voice from tempting her. "... I want to be a… designer." She managed to say.

This pressure, she was getting asked every single day and this breathtaking man wouldn't leave her alone.

'God, I just want to design and make dresses in peace. Is that too much to ask? I never should've worn these clothes in the first place.'

*********

"Eliza!" Someone called out and Eliza turned to see her best friend, Allison, rushing towards her and her face lightened up.

"Allison." Eliza yelled and ran towards her. They crashed into each other's embrace in a happy reunion. "It's so great to see you again."

"I know, right? It's been like forever." Allison said and they broke their hug.

"Technically, we've only been away from each other for half a year." Eliza pointed out.

"The same thing." Allison said. "We've never been so far apart for so long." She said, rubbing her cheek against Eliza's and Eliza laughed. "Are you here to apply at Ze Ztar?" She asked and Eliza smirked.

"You bet." She answered but Allison didn't look all that convinced. "What's the matter?"

"I don't know but don't you think you should've dressed up, even just a little bit?" She said, examining Eliza's clothes. "It's a but off, dont you think?"

"Off?" She looked down at her clothes and immediately realized what she meant and exclaimed, "Oh!" She sighed. "Let's forget about that. You know how much I have to go through just from wearing nice and fitting clothes." Allison nodded.

"Well, at least they're this months fashion trend." She said and Eliza laughed. Still, Allison looked worried. "Eli, I'm not gonna lie to you and though these clothes are this months fashion trend, I don't think they'll accept you looking like this."

"Come on, it's not like I'm applying to become a model. I just want to be a designer and let my styles reach higher heights. There's no need to dress up for that, is there?"

Allison shook her head and sighed. She knew she wouldn't be able to convince Eliza otherwise and she also knew the implications of her dressing her best to an interview.

The reason Eliza wore baggy clothes, no make up and thick framed glasses was simple. She was just too beautiful both in face and body.

It was already enough that she was born a natural beauty, she also had this body that men couldn't resist. Walking down the road wearing simple skirts and nice dresses got her in so much trouble and she was always being accused of intentionally parading around that way in an attemt to seduce the men around her.

Yes, they all called her a 'vamp'.

She didn't even need to walk before guys start drooling all over themselves and that was bad.

She started wearing baggy clothes because of that and she was used to it. Plus, they were supper comfortable.

Many advised her to become a model but her heart was set on one thing. She wanted to be a designer.

She wanted to work as a designer and nothing else but to make it work, she had to look less appealing as much as possible.

"Let's just hope we get in." Allison said as they clasped thier hands together and interlocked fingers.

"Yeah, let's both get this job and work to our hearts content." Eliza said, lightly bumping their heads together.

"Right." They higged one more time and let go. "Good luck on your interview."

"Hm, you too."

They both faced the magnificent building and each let out a breath before walking into the building.

Eliza just couldn't imagine what her life would've been like if she didn't always have Allison by her side to comfort and support her.

If she were to make a choice between saving the world and saving Allison, she'd definitely choose Allison. After all, the world hadn't done anything good for her.

'What do I do?' Eliza thought, shutting her eyes. 'I think I've grown too dependent on you, Allison.' she opened her eyes looking determined. 'But no more. I'll do my best to get this job without your help. I'll make you proud'

But contrary to her determination, it seemed luck was not on her side.
