Tyler and I went out of the house, to the main entrance where we found the car waiting. "Ready?" Tyler asked with a small smile which I didn't reflect to but answered his question "Sure". We got into the vehicle and headed off
The ride was a silent one throughout the journey apart from if you count the one he was having with his men or soldiers or whatever they call themselves.
We got to the fair within 30 minutes and wow, was is it crowded. Monsters here and there. Different kinds and species. It was a very interesting site to behold and the most monsters seem to be very nice, well, I mean, to the prince of werewolves. Ughh
"So, what do you want to do first?" He asked with obvious interest as if he was also having fun. "I don't know. You are the one familiar with all this, so choose" I said with a small giggle. "You've never been to a fair before?" He asked, somewhat surprised. "Yeah. Well my parents didn't like us going out but I was obviously the rebellious kid and didn't obey. My parents knew how much I loved the fair, the rides, the games, the colours but they didn't let me go to any, so yeah, I've never been to a fair in my whole life" I said all this with a smile but Tyler just looked at me with some kind of sadness in his eyes. I knew he could see past the smile on my face so I decided to point at the first thing that came to sight
"Let's go on that ride" I pointed to something that was in form of a gigantic wheel which was spinning with people in it. "The ferris wheel, nice choice. Let's go" Before I could say anything else, he took my hand and rushed towards the so-called ferris wheel.
We entered a compartment before the wheel started moving again. When we were at the top, something took my breath away and left me dumbstruck.
The view. It was mesmerizing and totally beautiful. The lights illuminated the entire fair and it made it gorgeous. "You know I used to do stuffs like this with my dad when I was younger. He would bring me here to this fair and we would play every game and enter every ride back when he was around. It was fun, actually the most fun I'd ever had. He was the best dad ever and I miss him"
I didn't even know if my dad was the best dad ever. He wasn't the best neither was he the worst, he was just never there
By the time he was done, he was standing beside also surveying the wonderful view. "It's absolutely gorgeous up here" I said still looking down at everything and he replied "Absolutely". I guess all this wasn't that bad and I should just let things that want to happen to happen
When we were done, we roamed aimlessly round the fair looking for what could catch my eye and Tyler didn't complain at all. It took a while before I finally saw a booth with stuffed animals and I rushed towards it. "Hello, how can I get a stuffed bear, please?" I asked with great excitement . "It's a game that involves you shooting 3 large ranged targets but from the sight of things, you can't even get one". "Oh really?!" I asked looking the guy dead in the eyes. Me, still looking at those stupid eyes, didn't notice Tyler standing right next to me "I'll do it for her"
"Prince? Sure thing, your highness" The guy said with the respect he didn't show me a few minutes ago. "Hell nah, hell nah, no one's doing this for me. Prince, thanks but no thanks and you, you son of a..." How much I wanted to say it but I couldn't, so I just said "Pass the gun"
"What?" The guy asked looking a bit surprise about me turning down the offer of the prince or something. If only he knew. "You deaf? I said pass the goddamn gun, or do you want me looking for a real one and shoot you with it?" I hate when guys think they are better than girls just because they are...guys. They are mere males with low self-esteem, low hygiene, and even lower thinking ability. Not all guys, I know but the ones I've met recently are no exception except Tyler. Maybe
The guy gave me the toy gun and showed me my targets which were just beside eachother. This isn't my first time holding a gun even though this is a fake
Back in my world, when I was at Tina's house, we were playing around and saw a real life gun. I was just 13 then but that didn't stop me from holding it. Her dad was a soldier so it kinda explains why they would have a gun in the house. Well, I practiced with that gun all day every day with her dad too, which made me an aimless master because I could actually shoot with my eyes closed. Literally
I took a deep breathe which I normally do before doing an aerobic activity. Immediately I heard the buzz that signified that I could start, it didn't take time for me to clear my targets. In a swift mood, I cleared the targets placed in front of me and because I felt like showing off, I grabbed the handkerchief that was partly placed in Tyler's pocket and wrapped it round my face, making it obvious I couldn't see a thing and shot the remaining targets that were placed for other customers. I knew I was hitting the bull's eye just by hearing the gasps around me
I was damn good and I knew it
I removed the handkerchief and as I thought all the targets were cleared. I smiled proudly to myself and looked at the salesman "Pass the bear, would you?" It took him a while to leave whatever trance he was having. "Ye...yes, of course" of course you have to. I said in my mind with a plastered smile on my face. I didn't look at Tyler's face but I could tell he was surprised and impressed and he should be
After getting my bear, we left the booth and looked for something to eat. When we were done, we decided to take a walk around the fair one last time before we left. "You cleared those targets like they were nothing" Tyler asked with so much excitement which made me laugh. "I was actually obsessed with guns back in my world and learnt quickly. It was a piece of cake" "It was mind-blowing" I couldn't help but laugh at the way Tyler was behaving. It was cute and hilarious

"So did you enjoy your time?" Tyler asked, clearly looking forward to my answer. I thought for a while, deliberately delaying my answer even though I already knew what it was. "Hm the fair was...okay, but as the prince, you could have done better" He looked so bummed that I couldn't hold my laughter and started laughing but quickly said "It was absolutely amazing. Thanks for bringing me here. It meant a lot" and I wasn't lying. It was the best fun I've had in weeks thanks to him. We were both laughing until something caught my attention with my ultra hearing "Find the foreign being and the monster who brought it here". Hearing those words from a very far distance but still within the fair, I grabbed Tyler's hand and started running.
"Why are you running?" He asked confused.
"Some peeps are looking for me?"
"Looking for you?"
"Looking for us"
